Great place to eat.

Good food, good atmosphere. We have been twice for lunch during the last month. We walked down with the dogs, sat outside and had a pleasant meal.

This was the second time we have had lunch at O'Connell's Centenary Hotel. On both occasions we had the bar special. The first time we had the Pie of the Day and the second time we had the bar sliders. With a glass of wine the cost was under $20 per person. This is comfortable pub with the option of... More

We had a lovely meal with our elderly parents yesterday which didn't disappoint. The problem came when my father in law needed to access the toilets. We had to ask for the waitress to move people and chairs so he could get by them. Then the cubicle door was not wide enough for him to get through. It was embarrassing... More

Had the pie was amazing. Also had the southern fried chicken burger. Both were amazing. They didn't rush the meals out which is great because they are made fresh and hot and not microwaved like some places which is disgusting. Well done guys. Service was really good and great atmosphere.

This hotel looks so lovely from the outside in. The main bar is lovely to sit in and have a drink . We were looking for a great meal and my husband heard on the radio that the meals were excellent here . The radio station wasn't wrong expect for the service we had a snooty waiter who provided terrible... More

O'Connell's is an institution that's managed to preserve it's pub feel despite being gentrified over the years. The O'Connell's Beef and Guinness Pie with potato mash and peas deserves to be added to the United Nations World Heritage list and there's a wine list to provide the ideal way to wash it down. Be warned though. The parking spaces around... More

We met family here that live locally. Their recommendation to eat here was a hit! Food, service and atmosphere was very good and the cost was very reasonable for the quality of food and wine. My teenagers loved it - highly recommend their famous Guinness and beef pie and their chips!

Although it's what we've come to expect over the years, o'Connell's never fails to satisfy. We wandered in, got a table close to the fire on a bleak Monday lunchtime, and were treated to interesting and tasty food with good wine selections. My lamb done 3 ways was tender and pink, succulent and juicy and charred and yummy in that... More

Was quite cramped inside and to me just wasn't my kind of pub. Formal dining area did look good. But quite pricey for what you get.

My husband and I had pre booked a table here recently on a Friday evening. We were seated in the back room near the kitchen. Very cosy and warm. Wait staff very courteous and knowledgeable when I asked about a specific wine. Great choice of food,we both had the Guiness Pie and it was delicious and so was the pavlova... More
