So, so disappointed today. Despite reserving a table, they couldn't locate it. We ended up the only ones outside, and it was about to rain. I said I didn't want to sit there, but she said they were full. Half hour later it was raining, and I used a second parasol to stop my baby in a pram getting wet.... More

a tip. memorable only because I was ill afterwards though this probably was not their fault. 2 blobs because at least the waitress was pleasant though there was nothing to serve for 45 minutes from taking the order.

In the lovely central square in Bassoues, in the sunshine, the place is buzzing - what could be better? Well for a start the food! The soup was watery, the meat was chewy and the wine was crude. The setting is lovely and there's plenty of outdoor seating, but it's a far cry from what it was ten years ago. Once an intimate, quaint, atmospheric village restaurant with carefully prepared meals by the matriarch, it has bloated and sprawled to 300+ place settings.
