Gorgeous middle eastern food and great service. Discovered reviews of Bayte by some stroke of luck and it will definitely be on my favourites list from now on. Try the duck and anything else for that matter, everything was cooked beautifully. Only criticism is that the drinks are very expensive. As a bonus, unlike the current trend in Melbourne's restaurant... More

For tourists this restaurant is a bit tricky to find because of the street numbering but well worth the effort! The food is absolutely fabulous! Share the meals so you get a taste of lots! Great service! We love Lebanese food and we were not disappointed! Great work Bayte!

What a great local 'Modern Lebanese' restaurant. Every mouthful was yum. Probably the best Lebanese I have had (part from my mum's) The atmosphere was great too. WE liked the Lamb ribs with a pomegranate molasses the best!!!

We had the $55 tasting menu. The food was lovely, fresh and different. Probably not an ideal place for kids, pretty expensive for the little they ate. Drinks were very expensive and choices limited. No BYO.

The warm flat breads are hard to resist with lashings of garlic-laden babaganoush or rich and creamy labne. Our favourites are the best falafels we have ever tasted along with the bbq chicken skewers and slow roasted lamb shoulder. Keep going back for more. Never disappointed.

My girlfriend chose this restaurant based on a recommendation from her sister for her birthday. They both are vegetarians. However Bayte is not a vegetarian focused restaurant, rather it is a fantastic Lebanese restaurant with an amazingly diverse menu with well thought out options for all. The service was top notch and extremely helpful (despite a lot of new changes... More

Delicious, authentic Lebanese food. The house speciality of raw lamb kibbeh was delicious. I'm not a huge fan of raw meat but I could go there and just have that and the labnah. The servings are large so be wary of ordering to much as the entire menu sounds delicious. Definitely book.

We decided to try Bayte after reading the positive review in The Age newspaper, and we were not disappointed. Entering the restaurant, which is not large (so do book ahead), there's this comfy, homey feel, with bookshelf at one side and a courtyard at the back. The staff is always friendly and attentive without being pretentious. The menu looks authentic... More
