Probably the worst paella I have eaten, there are tables out side to sit at. We asked for candles as it was really dark and we could not see our food, the waitress kindly gave as 1 tea light candle.. There were 5 people seated at table.

have been the Robert Burns a numbers of times since it restarted in it's new guise. Food and staff becoming lazy and a general feeling they have lost interest. With all the competition around in Collingwood-Fitzroy you can do much better elswhere

So an evening out with friends was ruined by the Robert Burns Hotel Restaurant. Had a lovely dinner planned with 5 friends and of course the Paella was ordered as it is a specialty. Unfortunately as the waiter was bringing the hot paella pan to the table he slipped and basically dropped the pan in my lap. My reflexes pushed... More

I'm Spanish and I went for dinner with some friends last night. I was very excited to go and eat my traditional food. At the beggining it all went well, the place is very nice and the staff is very friendly. We ordered some entrees first and then some paellas to share. The food was very good but the problem... More

Saturday lunch at the Robbie Burns was the food highlight of my recent trip to Melbourne. Melbourne is such a treat after the limited food options of my current Phoenix hometown. We started with the Croquetas de jamón , it’s a cliché but they did melt in your mouth. Next we shared the Paella negra con alioli (Squid ink paella... More

We shared several tapas amongst 4 & then ordered a paella for 2 but shared amongst 4 as well. It was more than enough. The prices are average. If you compare to what you pay overseas in Spain it is a little pricey. A jug of sangria is $30 serves 4 glasses and a bit. Churros were yummy but again... More

Had dinner with friends here and have to commend the very high quality of the food and its presentation but there were one or two disappointments overall. On arrival the waiter couldn't have been more helpful. However, from then on it was very difficult to get anyone's attention to place the order. Also the low lighting made it very difficult... More

We went there on a Tuesday night and it was fairly early. The waiter welcomed us and showed us to our bar seat which I had booked as that was all they had left. The size of the table was pretty small and we could not fit everything on the table. The food was really nice. We started with entrees... More

Had lunch here with the family. Veggie options were sparse and overpriced. The service was good and the atmosphere fine. Would not eat here again.
