Tucked away

Very difficult place to find unless you are local. Once found you will keep coming back. Excellent food with attentive staff. It has the added advantage of a large garden with live music on a Sunday in summer.

I'd heard great things about this pub and when friends from out of the area suggested going somewhere locally to eat we decided to come here. The restaurant was lovely and cosy with lovely table settings and very friendly and welcoming waitress. She had excellent customer service. Thats where the compliments end. The main course arrived and we were very... More

We had lunch at this lovely pub on Friday 21st August. The food was lovely - full compliments to the chef and the service was excellent. All the waitresses were really lovely but a special mention to Keira who was just brilliant - we will definitely be back with more family and friends.

Probably the best quality:cost ratio pub restaurant in the area. Exceptional food that is all freshly prepared (with the most exquisite desserts), charming period decor, glorious countryside surroundings and polite, welcoming staff. The only downside is the popularity that means pre-booking is essential and car parking can sometimes be awkward.

Nice friendy pub, special mention to the hard working staff Anna and Josh who made our evening extra special, despite being busy, they provided an excellent service. Food was amazing also, couldnt fault anything.

Me and the lads smashed a few pints down. We loved it. Met loads of random locals. The bar staff were top notch. Couldn't ask for more really. Some might say this is the best pub ever. On a scale of one to 1000 this pub is a billion.

This is not the first time we have been to the Prince of Wales and it was an obvious venue to consider for a Saturday dinner when another couple came to spend the weekend with us in Whitstable, despite a number of competing establishments nearer to hand. Marc made us very welcome with his usual mixture of warm hospitality and... More

After an afternoon stroll along the beach of Herne Bay we went for a drive and came across this little gem. The staff were warm and welcoming and the food amazing. The highlight of my day was finding a gluten free dessert - I'll be returning just for another dessert, although the Sunday roast was amazing too!

On the eve of my daughters wedding bridesmaids, ushers and immediate family all gathered together for a meal.We were seated in the main bar between three tables but didn't feel squashed in.The staff were efficient and didn't keep us waiting long between courses. The food was as always really good and our guests agreed that the food plus the whole feel of... Great food good atmosphere and offering a very good selction wether from the menu or the 'specials' . It was our first visit having been recommended to us and was well worth the visit. The only critism was the service was very slow we felt sorry for the girls serving as they 'ran their socks off' and were always friendly... More
