Lovely!

Popped in after a country walk for lunch with the kids. Pretty little pub with friendly staff. A delicious light lunch (kids loved the fishmonger sandwiches!) and fantastic value for money. Will recommend to friends

I really like this pub, the beer is good and well kept - currently drinking Gadds No. 5. The food is great, both the bar food and the main meal options. Service is a little slow, but I could stay here all day.

When my mother called to make reservations for my brother's birthday lunch, she was assured that gluten free and vegetarian food would be available for me. The four of us arrived and were surprised by the small menu with no gluten free items, so asked about a prawn salad as both items were on menu - just not together. They... More

Very attentive waiter. Entree was excellent, the mushrooms in blue cheese were simply outstanding. Two items of 10 main courses were "off", very disappointing on such a small menu. Three of the four of us had steak. At £20 each we expected better. Nicely cooked but cheap cuts full of fat. Sack the buyer and the butcher. Overall, an average... More

I drive past this pub on a business trip. From the road it looked like any other country pub. A week later I visited with my wife after a recommendation for a friend. What a great pub! Nice restaurant and bar, great fire and a really nice garden area totally hidden from the road. The food was lovely, a fish... More

Passed by the Black Robin almost every day and finally decided to pop in, Glad I did! Wonderfully kept beer including 2 Kentish ales. The food was the real highlight though. Not your normal pub food, I had trio of pork, my wife the tuna steak. Cooked perfectly and tasted great. Just wish I had discovered it sooner!

Having stopped for a light lunch, the food was gorgeous and although I'm not normally a great chip eater, I feel I must give a special mention for the triple fried chips and the onion rings ( my husband said they were the best he's ever eaten!). A cosy atmosphere and impeccable service added up to make a relaxing lunch.... More
