A neighborhood place

Excellent food at excellent price. It looks small outside but inside it is long and warm. Definitely a place to go to when in Montefiascone. I'm lucky live here and it is 100 meters from my house.

My wife and I went to this restaurant for two different lunches while we were staying outside of Montefiascone this past summer. This restaurant has a very relaxing atmosphere, with nice murals of Lake Bolsena on one wall. The man who served us was very pleasant, and the service was very good. The menu is quite large and impressive, with... More

This restaurant is a few hundred metres away from the hotel we are staying in, so we thought we would give it a chance as it gets dark so early at the time of the year and we didn't want to get lost in the charming town of Montefiascone in the dark. There was only one other couple dining when... More

We could feel that this place have had many joyful guests through in good old days. We were not among them! Sitting alone with an extra oven under the table Plain food, plain wine and no feeling of being important guests. We are always using Trip Advisor when traveling, but for the town of Montefiascone we had more than one... More

We went to Montefiascone by chance and entered this modest restaurant by chance too! We had the restaurant all for ourselves as it was a Monday at 11.30am. The food was excellent, plenty of truffles and tasty fresh extra virgin olive oil. I would recommend this restaurant. The decoration is gorgeous...the cow keeps looking at you were ever you move!

We were entirely happy with the experience we had! The food served was really tasty - we should mention the ample use of truffles! - and had a home-made quality to it. The service was unpretentious and cordial. The decoration of the restaurant added to the experience. We felt really welcome and relaxed in the atmosphere of this place. To... More

I supppose that one should try to be more complimentary about what appeared to be the only restaurant open in town on a wet Monday night out of season, but it was a very average and not particularly inexpensive meal. I probably chose badly as I chose one of the more expensive 'starters' - the game plate - different cured... More

Spending one night in town and had no idea where to eat. Our hostess at our B&B said all the restaurants nearby were equally good. We walked into Borgo Antico and had a really good meal for a reasonable price. We were early, both in terms of season and time of day, so there was only one other party in... More

A flat tyre late in the afternoon led us to the magical village of Montefiascone. Synchronicity is fantastic! Set in the Viterbo Region, rich in culture and food, food and more glorious food. Borgo Antico is a must for all you local traditional food buffs. Our great host Claudio, went out if his way to accomodate us. The delicious polenta... More
