average pub food

Large portions, nice enough, typical pub menu. Do not expect cordon bleu! Quite a wide choice of meals.

We had a great time and the staff were very accommodating to making last minute changes to the set menu, like adding a chilli sauce instead of a garlic sauce. The selection of food and drinks was great and the prices were very reasonable.

First visit to this pub/restaurant . The food was very good and the cost very reasonable. It is a family place, so there are lots of children about, so if you are looking for a quiet meal out then no chance! The staff are friendly and the decor is fine.

Today my Partner and I went to the Charnwood Arms for a "Sunday Lunch"......Big Mistake!! We both left 3/4 of our meal................ My other half ordered the Lamb Steak Roast Dinner and I had the Roast Beef Dinner. The lamb was very fatty but just acceptable, the beef was just as though it was out of a "Cook in the... More

Since the close down of the Service Area adjacent to J22 of the M1, this is the nearest Bar/Restaurant to the Junction. Contrary to the Web Site, this Restaurant is now a Fayre and Square franchise and boasts a standard menu. I needed a meal while staying at the nearby Travel Lodge, and was recommended to the Charnwood Arms. OK... More

Came with husband and small daughter, Has sausage and mash which I shared with daughter. Had 3 large sausages with plenty of mash, peas, yorkshires and gravy. Lovely black pepper sausages. Husband had chicken new yorker which was very nice. Good service, friendly staff. Will be coming back again,

I've been here several times over the last few years and always found the food to be good value, reliable, plentiful, fresh and properly cooked. My last visit was a weekday evening in August this year, we both had steak and chips and the biggest cheesecake I've ever seen. The place is always clean and fresh smelling and service is... More

I know its cheap but that does not mean they can serve the rubbish we got last week. We ordered The codfather, the chips were luke warm the mushy peas, stone cold, and as for the "fish" well, there would have been more fish on a cheap fish finger. It looked impressive when it arrived but it turned out to... More
