If you want a good plate of food for an excellent price, served efficiently and with a smile, then look no further. On a busy Saturday night we stopped by on the off chance at 7.30 and got a table for four within 5 minutes, even though the place was still busy. The staff are very friendly and very willing... More

Older ladies like to meet friends for lunch on a regular basis and the Charnwood Arms makes a perfect venue. No one raises an eyebrow if we order a child's Roast with a Double Scotch! It's that sort of place - they are happy to serve you with whatever you want from the menu! We always enjoy our visits and... More

The food here is always great value served well. Surely people know the food is good quality but not fresh. And for somebody to put on here they got food poisoning after a few hours is simply wrong and unfair. I put money on the chicken being pre cooked and no danger of food poisoning.

I am a regular customer to the Charnwood arms and have been for several years and always find it good value for money. Unfortunately from my latest visit on the 18th July 2014 I suffered food poisoning several hours after my meal and believe it was from the chicken breast. Very disappointed and now shall not be returning.

I called in here for a quick meal with a couple of friends, we had three meals and three drinks all for under £23.00. The service was excellent and the staff very cheerful and appear to enjoy their work. It’s less than five minutes from Jun.22 on the M1, very easy to find with loads of car parking and it’s... More

Basic menu lots of deep fried food & burgers puds a little better overall not too bad if dining with young children. If dry outside garden seems ok. Not for the romantic meal for 2 or a business lunch.

We have visited the Charnwood arms many times, we had our wedding reception here in 2011, but boy has it changed. Its under new management and shows! the food is cheap but definitely not cheerful, the staff are rude and have poor customer service skills. We recently visited for a meal with friends, there were 5 of us, we placed... More
