We had not been to this pub for over a year and were surprised that many of the menu items (particularly some of the British fare) were no longer there. The food we did have was ok and the server was non attentive too bad...The setting is lovely if you like British pubs.

Really nice location ( Newport Village ), always quite busy, nice decor, good food and some great music. Don't go often, but its a cool pub.

Went to have a few drinks and dinner with a friend. Caesar was watery; couple ciders were good. Chicken/Brie clubhouse was not bad although chicken soup with it was out of a can. Ok for a couple drinks / hangout but food was not worth it.

We went down to this neighbourhood pub last week for a quick dinner. It was pouring rain so hard and parking was hard to find in Newport Village. We went in and greeted and there was only one table available so we took it right beside the door. We ordered dry beef ribs as appetizers, Caesar salad which we shared... More

Enjoyed the atmosphere on a cold and wet day. Warm inside with an English Pub atmosphere as you would expect. Service was good, comfort food complimented the occassion and overall everyone was positive in their comments.

We started going to The Well on a regular (once every week or two) basis from the time it opened in NewPort Village back in the 90s. Can't begin to count the number of times we've been there or the amount of money spent. A lot for sure. About two years ago the original owner sold and it's been hit... More

Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake...absolutely yum! Love the atmosphere there too...we usually get the table right by the fireplace...great on a cold rainy or snowy day! I have always enjoyed the lunch food I have had there too. It gets rather crowded for the lunch hour, so get there early to get a good seat. I have only been there for... More

Food here, years back, was great. Irish favorites cooked from scratch. I'm not sure what changed first the clientele or the cooking staff, but most of the food seems like it was just heated up, not cooked to order. My salad had brown leaves, waitress actually asked me if that was 'okay'. It's a beautiful place left to ruin. If... More

Excellent variety of wholesome, made from scratch, pub food. Good service but noisy at dinner time. Lunches well priced and same quality.
