A good lunch in a cosy Irish pub setting

Our niece works around the corner and suggested the pub when we suggested lunch. Very wholesome home cooking. Jen our niece went with a burger, I had an elk steak and my hubby had a steak all were cooked just as we liked them. The beer was good too. Great friendly staff.

A cozy little irish pub that serves above average pub food! Is it a bit inconsistent sometimes? Perhaps. But I've never had to send anything back. They support local craft breweries and are always welcoming. I've never had to wait for a table and I pop by fairly often!

We went there for dinner tonight and expected to wait. Getting a table right away on a Friday night is not normally a good sign and it was not tonght. My wife sent her food back twice as it was not edible and i sent my fries back because they were cold. They need to shut the place down and... More

If you want good English or Irish style pub food you cant do better than here. Often a very busy place and so sometimes hard to have a conversation. Especially if there is a game on or live music. Often had half price appy's which are a meal in themselves. Great spot especially for the young.

We love to walk down to this local pub for dinner and drinks. Excellent pub grub here! The atmosphere is old world, but you can still watch the game and enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights.

We had not been to this pub for over a year and were surprised that many of the menu items (particularly some of the British fare) were no longer there. The food we did have was ok and the server was non attentive too bad...The setting is lovely if you like British pubs.

Really nice location ( Newport Village ), always quite busy, nice decor, good food and some great music. Don't go often, but its a cool pub.

Went to have a few drinks and dinner with a friend. Caesar was watery; couple ciders were good. Chicken/Brie clubhouse was not bad although chicken soup with it was out of a can. Ok for a couple drinks / hangout but food was not worth it.

We went down to this neighbourhood pub last week for a quick dinner. It was pouring rain so hard and parking was hard to find in Newport Village. We went in and greeted and there was only one table available so we took it right beside the door. We ordered dry beef ribs as appetizers, Caesar salad which we shared... More
