We were staying locally in the area and after a full day at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach were looking for somewhere to eat. We had passed the pub a few times and decided that this was our stop for the evening. We were a large group of eight and the waiter (unfortunately I didn't get his name) was very attentive.... More

62 members (mainly aged 60+) of our Healthy Heart Club attended The Bourne Poacher for a 3 course meal with tea/coffee and entertainment on Tuesday 12th March. We have a fabulous time and everyone enjoyed it so much they want to come back again!! The food was very nice, hot and fresh and the live singer (St Patricks Irish themed... More

Thirty-eight members of my over-fifties club have just enjoyed a wonderful afternoon here celebrating our tenth anniversary.. Everything worked like a well-oiled machine, the food was good but what really stands out is the friendly welcoming atmosphere and the wonderful staff. They couldn't do enough for us and made sure that everyone had a really good time. Plenty of dancing,... More

Service and staff were good but my meal was very disappointing. I had fish and chips, which came with a very small portion of fish which was even smaller when the batter was removed - at the best it was half the size of a fish and chip shop portion. Probably the smallest portion of fish I'd ever had in... More

I have lived in the area for a few years now and only recently decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised! The service was excellent, we were greeted by a lovely smiley girl called Emma I believe, who couldn't do enough for us! The food was simply outstanding, none of this reheated... More

Have recently visited the Bourne Poacher - we go on a regular basis - and still find the welcome, the atmosphere, the customer service and the food second to none. We look forward to our visits and are always reluctant to leave as we are made to feel so welcome and are treated more like guests than customers. Please try... More

My husband and I visited this pub to meet some friends, have a few drinks and a meal. As soon as we walked in we were met by a friendly face behind the bar who did nothing but make us feel very welcome and was very helpful in the wine selection. We proceeded to sit at a table where the... More

We have been visiting the Bourne Poacher with various family and friends for over five years now. The welcome we receive makes us feel more like family than guests, the staff can't do enough for us, the meals are excellent and it's well worth the wait to enjoy freshly prepared locally sourced ingredients. We have dined in the restaurant, attended... More
