Believe the hype

Have heard so many good things about the fare to be had. We shared the Chateaubriand for Two and it was amazing. Melt in your mouth seems to be a common phrase to describe the steaks served here, and there's no question they do indeed do just that. We shared some appetizers, a couple of bottles of... read more

I found the staff to be very engaging, funny and very professionally friendly. The Filet Mignon, at $ 40.00 a crack, we all ordered, [4 people] was done very nicely, but was simply plumped on top of 2 half pieces of 1 inch. dia. potatoes, 3 three inch long by about 1 quarter inch square pieces of turnip or parsnip,... First of all, you have to book this in advance. For me, it was a 2.5 week waiting to book for a table for 4. One of my pals was a vegetarian. I called the restaurant asking if they have any vegetarian meals. The person replied "no we don't, but we can cook something up especially for him". I got... More

When you are walking in the door it looks a little tattered but don't let this deter you. This place is just so charming. Maybe 10 - 12 tables and lovely music softly playing in the background. The food was absolutely delicious! The salad crisp and fresh with a delicious dressing. Cauliflower blue cheese soup amazing. The steak fantastic and... More

Amazing, you will not be disappointed. The food is unbelievable and you leave amazed and wanting to go back. Worth the drive to Longview. Be sure you make a reservation out you will be out if luck. The halibut was by far the most amazing meal I have ever had. It was so delicious, my moth is watering just thinking... More

1. Reservation needed 2. Please be on time, you will need time to really do justice to the food. 3. Small village relaxed atmosphere. 4. The food, sensational. My wife and family have been here several times and can`t say enough about the friendly service . The presentation of food is truly artistic.

My wife and I have been to many high rated restaurants in North America, first impression not great but this has the best steaks we have ever had, more than made up for first impression. Service very good, atmosphere ok.

This is a small restaurant in a little cowboy town an hour and a half down the "Cowboy Trail" (Highway 22) southwest of Calgary. You need to make reservations in advance as it is always busy, and forget getting in on Friday or Saturday nights without reservations. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The service is outstanding and personable, and... More

Friends too me here for dinner on the last night of my visit to Canada. We had scallops and chicken in filo pastry to start which were delicious. They recommended the filet mignon which was the most amazing melt in your mouth steak I have ever had. Bread and butter pudding and longview coffee to finish. The staff were delightful... More

On my recent holiday in Canada I was lucky to get the chance to have dinner at the Longview Steakhouse. It was difficult to get a booking but we finally managed. From the outside the place is very unassuming. A white painted building with only a sign to indicate that this was the place. Not your typical flashy steakhouse. Inside... More
