I've always believed that even an ordinary seafood dish will be fantastic if its truly fresh. This is what Ocho has to offer. We had ours grilled and in broth (locally called 'Tinola') and it was great! These everyday household dishes were so good because the fish were fresh. Service was a bit slow because we sat in an extension... More

I've been waiting to hear if Ocho will open again after Yolanda so that I can add a review on it from the time we visited Tacloban in June 2013. Ocho Seafood and Grill is often mentioned in blogs regarding Tacloban City and so we sought it out soon as we dropped our bags at Go Hotel. We ordered some... More

Unfortunately i'm allergic to seafood but I was able to get some pork kabobs and other pork items. A lot of options to choose from once ordering and priced reasonably.

After seeing the effusive reviews and top rating on Trip Advisor, I was happy to have a chance to try the Ocho Seafood Grill recently. While good, I wouldn't describe it as particularly outstanding. Our group had fried squid, grilled grouper, steamed vegetables, and mussles. The best of the lot were the grilled fish and the vegetables, which were very... More

Tacloban is the city destroy by super typhoon Yolanda and the near by town. This restaurant was also submerge due the typhoon. After few month, it's now open. Our group went there to do charity relief in some of the town there. This is a place I ate a year ago. I like the food here. Good food reasonable price.... More

This place was a great find on TripAdvisor. One of the few places to still do a roaring trade. The food was great. We had roast chicken, the grouper in ginger, excellent shrimp, and the spinach was fantastic. The pork skewers and belly are also good. Worth a visit.

This review is being written over two months after typhoon Haiyan. This restaurant is a few of the places that is open and operating as of this week. The once fully stock fresh fish counter is almost non-existent. I noticed a chicken rotisserie in the entrance area of the restaurant. I am sure in time this place will be back... More
