My husband and I were there Sept 29, 2013. Hans had suggested it. Didn't make it in time for lunch. At first I thought pricey, even for dinner. Food was superb, but it is what we call a share place. We were more than replete and still had more than half left over. I should have noticed that a young... More

Cafe Lindevang serves traditional danish food just like a Danish grandma would cook it. The portions are huge and I guarantee no one will leave the table hungry! Make sure to drink plenty of beer with your food and perhaps a Danish snaps! This isn't fine dining but more like a visit to your grandma's house - in fact they... More

This cafe serves traditional Danish smørebrød(Open sandwiches). The waiters are very friendly and ask which of your orders you would like served together. A good tip - if you are a couple - is to order two different things each and then share them. There are plenty !

If you are visiting Copenhagen you must not miss this pearl of a restaurant. There are no stars or other fancy stuff just perfect old danish food in a setting from yesteryear. They serve big portions so you will not go hungry to bed after a visit here

This is not your "New Nordic" restaurant; the food is of the stick-to-your ribs-variety. Heavy, rich and very tasty dinners. It's a bit out of the center of town, but worth the trip. Check for reservations, especially around the holiday season, as they do traditional Christmas food (such as roast duck), and they do it very well, served up family... More

This is probably one of the best smørrebrød restaurants in all of Denmark. The food is freshly made to order, with a huge variety of different traditional Danish open faced sandwiches, including fish fillet with shrimp and remoulade, roasted pork loin with crackling and sweet and sour red cabbage, liver pate with bacon, and roast beef with potato salad. The... More

Even though they have a sign on the wall ironically claiming they're 'Probably the worst restaurant in town' Cafe Lindevang is a great place to enjoy traditional Danish dishes. The portions are big, the price is reasonable, and the service was excellent. I'll go back if I'm in that part of town again.
