A pleasant find with good food and a nice down to earth atmosphere, wide selection of clientele - walkers, families, even an occasional dog which added to the friendly feeling. Food was reasonably priced given the location and when ordering tea you get a big teapot nota measly one cup pot. Cakes were spot on, only down side was cash... More

Even on a cold damp february lunchtime, there was a warm welcome as soon as you enter this small but delightful tea room. The previous reviews on trip advisor persuaded us to eat here for lunch during our day visit to the derbyshire dales and we were not disappointed. The tea room was full to capacity but we didnt have... More

We first visited the tearoom and gift shop in November 2008 and loved it, visiting again in February 2012 would it live up to our expectations? Yes it did, excellent service, a warm welcome and a warm tearoom on a bitterly cold February day, homemade vegetable soup and a pot of tea for one, and a bacon & fried egg... More

My daughter and I had a beautifully presented afternoon tea at this cosy, charming Tea Room (actually we had an excellent cappuccino). We then went upstairs to look at the lovely display of Arts and Crafts on sale. Half way up the stairs we were greeted by one of the delightful owners bringing us our bag we had forgotten at... More

This small tearoom does lovely, freshly cooked lunches as well as great teas and coffees. It is run by a family and every one is made welcome in the cosy cottage-style tearoom. The shop upstairs has irresistible gifts, paper and cards! More

It's a nice little place and they serve a good choice of leaf teas but the home made cakes were a let down. Coffee cake with very little flavour of coffee, unpleasant sickly frosting (not buttercream) and claggy texture. A big slab of poor quality cake. Toasted teacake - the cardinal sin of providing the teacake with a chilly packet... More

This is a pleasant tea room in a delightful village in the Peak District. Food homemade and service friendly, but they do not accept debit /credit cards or cheques,so you really need to make sure you have enough cash before ordering those cakes More

We visited the Aisseford Tea Room after a long hike in Castleton, and their tea and scones certainly hit the spot!!!!! Their menu boasts a good selection from light meals to cakes and sweets. It's everything you expect from a English Country Tea Room! Make sure you have a walk around the village while there- it's enchanting! More

We went here on a round-about walk from Bakewell. The outside of the building directly appealed to us and the inside was even better. We had two delicous cakes, a Victoria sponge and a chocolate cake. The cappuccino's were perfect and inside had a lovely ambiance. The staff was very friendly and we also had a look in the very...
