Good service, handy location

We finished our 8 mile walk with tea at the Penny Pot. The place is clean and comfortable and ideal for a drink and a snack. We sat outside at the back which was pleasant as the weather was good.

Stopped off for a cream team on a Saturday after a walk. Nice cafe, friendly staff and the cream tea was tasty, with proper clotted cream and sizeable yet yummy scones. Toilets also very clean. Homemade jam for sale at the entrance way.

Very nice little cafe well placed as there aren't many in Edale. We arrived 20 mins before closing and wasn't a problem. The tea was nice and chocolate cake was really tasty and as they were closing they gave us a couple of free cups of coffee!

Conveniently placed near the main car park in Edale and run by National Trust A no frills cafe but clean and well organised with friendly helpful staff. Food is basic but adequate and clearly popular with walkers / ramblers The soup of the day had disappeared by 1.30 - obviously a too popular choice Good selection of sandwiches at sensible... More

Came in here for a Sunday breakfast, cant fault the food or drink at all (and we had quite a mix), but there was only one person serving when we ordered, leading to quite a long queue behind us by the end of the order

Popped into the cafe at the start of our walk over Kinder Scout. Clean toilet for customers to use, plenty of seating available within the cafe itself. Although busy, the staff were friendly and efficient. We ordered two lovely, reasonably priced sandwiches which they happily packed in takeaway containers for us without any fuss. Ham and cheese was a great... More

Nice cafe in Edale, with small area for kids to colour, books to read etc. Could do with a cad machine - but hey you can't have everything!

Having read mentions of this cafe in national trust leaflets we made a small detour to find it. The young lady who served us was polite and efficient and the interior and outdoor seating very pleasant. The menu was a bit boring given the claim they use local produce. The soup was 'sold out', rather a surprise at midday on... More
