The Two Oceans Restaurant, opened its doors in December 1995, and is an integral part of the development at Cape Point, which is now part of the newly proclaimed Good Hope Section of the Table Mountain National Park. There is much here for visitors: from excellent dining and browsing through the curio shop, to witnessing the crashing waves where two oceans do battle near the tip of Africa. Set into the cliffs high above the south-western most tip of the Cape Peninsula, the Two Oceans Restaurant has a spectacular view over False Bay and comfortably seats some 350 guests. The innovative design of the restaurant ensures that all guests are able to enjoy the stunning views of this unique location – a view that is unrivalled and world renowned.Of course, you can also enjoy some of the Western Cape’s most magnificent wines when you dine at the Two Oceans Restaurant. The restaurants extensive outdoor deck presents plenty of opportunity for an incredible breakfast as well, or to catch some sun before taking the Flying Dutchman funicular up to the lighthouse, saving your energy for a walk down to one of the many beaches in the reserve. Our team of chefs meticulously prepare the comprehensive menu. The restaurant’s elegant fare is served in a relaxed manner, and can be enjoyed on our deck, or in the restaurant itself. Fresh seafood and sushi are the specialties, especially our world famous Two Oceans Restaurant Seafood Platter. We also cater for vegetarians, meat & salad lovers, and the younger ones.

Outstanding food and location!

Lunch at the Two Oceans restaurant is worth the beautiful drive along the coast to Cape Point in South Africa. Just be sure to stay aware of your surroundings here because I was ambushed by a baboon!! (You can read about that crazy experience in my Cape Point review.) We were seated right away. The restaurant offers take away pizzas and salads as well. The pizzas are VERY thin and small and greatly over-priced. The taste is average at best. The indoor restaurant looked much better (but unfortunately, we did not try it)

The views are gorgeous, but the tables are really really really close together. Way too close to be comfortable. We had to wait a long time before we were able to order as nobody came to take our order. When the food arrived though it was nicely presented and very tasty, but we did feel it was overpriced for what... More

Not quite five-star food, but an amazing locale and good service by South African standards (which can be rather, if not very, slow). We arrived early for our lunch reservation and were accommodated cheerfully with our choice of indoor or outdoor table. Lovely menu; amazing venue with fabulous views on a clear day. Great food and wine options. We shared... More

We arrived at the near empty Two Oceans Restaurant on a recent trip to Cape Point, and were greeted with supreme indifference (I actually thought they were closed from their reception). Once seated, we were again treated quite rudely by staff, and service thereafter was decidedly hit and miss. It's a shame as we all (6 of us) enjoyed excellent... More

After a long journey from Cape Town to Cape Point, Two Oceans restaurant provided limited, slightly costly but quick and effective service. The place has lovely views and you can site outside and have a dinner with mountains, ocean and trees as the backdrop – it reals feels princely that way. We just had simple pizza, nachos and coke but... More

The kingklip was so fresh and was prepared in a delicate flavor. It was so delicious! My daughters don't eat fish so they had chicken kebabs which they enjoyed also. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was one of the best meals we had in Cape Town with the best view.

We were in Cape Town for 5 days and this was my favorite restaurant. Had the line fish (fish of the day) and it was just outstanding!! I was afraid the food wouldn't be good because it is a touristy destination but I was so wrong. We traveled with 9 others (5 kids) and everyone found something they liked on... More

Rather fancy restaurant, but with no-fuss service. Go for sea food. But you are really there because it is the Southern tip of Africa and the waters to the South Pole open in front of you. Unique! Forgot my credit card, called and a memeber of personnel brought it back to me at a meeting point.

After visiting such a magical place, the food was great and the restaurant is very busy so patience is needed. The service is not the best but the food and your emotions from your experience will allow you to excuse it. The food was light and refreshing and the wine choices were great. The trout and linefish was both ordered... More
