Almost perfect

After having a splendid lunch a few years ago, it is remiss that we have not been back for dinner....until last friday.... I would unashamedly acknowledge that Francis is one of the best chefs in the world. It seems unbelievable that she has only 1 Michelin Star. In London she would surely have... read more

Full taster and full wine flight experience - not quite there for the money. Having visited numerous Michelin restaurants with tasters in mind this one fell short sadly. The wine however was excellent, the service very good, it just seemed the price wasn't quite justified with the food and at this level everything has to be spot on sadly. We... More

We took the Sunday Lunch today and can only describe as one of the best ever. Each course was full of flavours that we quite new to us all but so exciting Frances Atkins Kitchen turned out such high quality food with service that went along with it. Such a beautiful day in North Yorkshire as well.

Myself and partner opted for the 8 course tasting menus priced at £85 per person. The evening was nice, cosy and pretty romantic I guess. The building is rather old and has a lot of character. Set in the gorgeous village of Ramsgil. The food was nice, although not particularly tasty - many of the course rather bland in taste.... More

We stayed here on a DBB midweek deal. This included afternoon tea with Champagne after arrival, evening dinner and breakfast. The afternoon tea was delicious, chocolate cake, fruit cake, mini scone with cream and jam, tea and biscuits plus a large glass of pol roger ( I think). Barely had chance to digest that before it was dinner time. More... More

My second time to Yorke Arms and it did not disappoint. A group of four and we all had something different and every course was superb, faultless. The staff are faultless and attentive, the setting is lovely even at this time of year. Will be going back again without fail and would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is our second visit to this delightful restaurant. The whole experience was outstanding! The staff greeted us warmly and were very friendly throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, which is what we expect when paying these prices. On our previous visit the staff were distant and uncommunicative so this was a great improvement. The food was superb!... More

Our second visit to Frances Atkins Yorke Arms for Sunday lunch. here courses plus hand made crisps and parmesan tarts in the bar whilst we perused the menu, Amuse Bouche and freshly baked bread before our appetizers. Food wine and service excellent as usual. Can't wait to go back.

Travelled for lunch on our way back home to the Lake District after visiting the nearby Devonshire arms for a few nights in Bolton abbey. We are both foodies, and love eating out regularly, both of us working in the industry. The idea of visiting Michelin starred restaurants for a relaxing meal is amazing, where you can sit and enjoy... More
