As a regular weekend customer, last weekend was the first with the new menu and if it stays will be our last!i ordered a child's lunch box asked if I could have a banana in to which the reply was sorry they are not ripe enough! Then we decided after nothing really appealing for a lunchtime menu we would have sandwiches... More

I went today for lunch with a friend. She wanted a ham sandwich, but there was only ham with cheese and egg on the menu. We asked the waitress for just a ham salad sandwich but she explained that they couldn't do this as the sandwiches were already made up in the back. We decided on plan b, a steak... More

Had the Hawarden breakfast yesterday. Two sausage, bacon, fried egg, tomato, toast, black pudding, and brown sauce! Price with pot of tea is about £10. The farm shop is quite expensive and very busy, staff very friendly, and service speedy. You have to order before 12 noon for breakfast. We will definitely be going back again and again.

This place is bursting with quality and locally produced choice, from the meat to a range of bottled beers and ciders, with a tasty selection of lunchtime snacks. We REALLY enjoy their chicken pieces in a yoghurt stuffing.

Have had breakfast at the farm shop on numerous occasions and really enjoyed it. On this occasion we went for lunch and I made the mistake of having mac n cheese and my husband had a beef sandwich. Meal came and my mac was thick, stodgy and tasteless and resulted in me eating less than half. When we came to... More

This is a high end farm shop with lots of local produce. It is expensive, so watch out. But the food is great quality, especially the BBQ things in the butchers. The variety of fresh food is excellent and a nice layout for browsing. The tea shop is well worth a visit, although the quality varies from good to excellent.

I have been buying food from Hawarden Farm Shop for a few weeks now and it's always been nice and fresh. I usually prefer to buy my meat from here as it is locally produced, and although a little overpriced, it's always of a good quality and the butchers will cut the meat to your required taste. The price of... More

This is a fabulous 'farm shop' found on a 28-acre working farm owned by former Prime Minister Gladstone’s family. They produce seasonal fruit and veg (in summer you can pick your own) with additional supplies mainly sources from local producers and tenant farmers. The farm shop itself is impressive with a popular café and lots of things for kids to... More
