We first started going here when it opened 3 or 4 years ago and it just gets better and better. A family affair with the charming Monia front of house and her mum assisting with the cooking. Typical of the region the food is Tuscan style wonderfully cooked and presented in beautiful surroundings. The menu changes seasonally and the wine... More

Tucked away in the middle of Palaia, behind a large brick wall and next to a cafe style restaurant is the Bacciomeo. Good food and service awaits you here in a dining room with glorious frescos. Great steaks are cooked on an open fire to order.

Despite the strange setting behind a pizza restaurant and play park, this restaurant is very special. The villa is enchanting or you can sit outside. The food was delicious, the staff very attentive.

This is a family run restaurant, and it shows - they really care and are genuinely pleased to see you. Their food is excellent, the faggotini was really delicious. We visited twice for dinner and there were five of us so we really did manage to sample a lot of the menu - every dish was great. The father works... More

The restaurant is hidden behind ancient walls, but is definately worth visiting. The building is nicely restored and has beautiful wallpaintings (see pictures). They serve typical Tuscany dishes. Well prepared and the cook (the Mama) went around all tables to check if everyting was ok and for some small talk (in Italian). Good value for your money and a great... More

What an amazing find in Palaia. The family run restaurant is superb, extremely reasonable for the quality of food and experience and could not ask for better. The dining room is stunning and staff are so warm and welcoming. If in Palaia you must go here!

We went to Bacciomeo shortly after they opened and returned again this year taking with us some visiting Australian friends. The restaurant was as before with no reduction in the quality of food, wine, atmosphere and friendliness of staff. Our friends were amazed – not only at the wall murals – but at the huge steak (well he is Australian!)... More

Starts with a beautiful setting inside the outer walls of the borgho. We were seated in the outside garden -- quite intimate with 5-6 tables. Beautiful setting. Food was remarkable. We had a variety of dishes. Started with their appetizer platter: mixed salumi, bruschetta and a few pâté type pieces. Very large dish. Enough for 4 of us. Tasty and... More
