Pleasantly surprised

Sunday lunch was initially quiet but got busier. We got in without a booking. There was a private function in the outdoor area. Good solid pub grub. Pricing is ok and lunch specials are available at $15. Staff were super busy but did a great job.

The is a favorite of the hospital crowd. It is serves good pub grub and the specials are very reasonable. The food is good quality pub grub without too many bells and whistles. The AC should be on in Summer ! The chicken burger was good.

We went for a family birthday and wanted somewhere a bit 'different'. They delivered! It was quite cosy, had a warm feel to it and good atmosphere. I had a burger which I was surprised by - it was really good! General family consensus was that the food was reasonable. Service was also good - no complaints there. Overall, a... More

I had dinner here on a recent Friday night so it was busy, as you would expect. It was also very noisy as a guitarist was playing in a small area, amplified. This might be OK for those in the outdoor patios but nearer the entry, bar & neighbouring seating this is off-putting - I do not like to literally... More

A group of 12 went for a work lunch, we got excellent service, the staff knew the menu and were able to answer all of our questions, they catered to us very well. The only low point is we were put on 2 tables of 6. The food was good value for money and tasty. Menu was a little limited... More

I went for the steak offer on Tuesday evening. Steak, chips, small salad, and a glass of wine or beer for $20. Can't argue with the price and it was a pretty good steak too. Bit of a shame that the sauce I ordered didn't arrive, but would certainly go back again.

A group of 6 friends went to the Byrneleigh for Sunday lunch and came away dissappointed. Modern decor, friendly staff with table service and parking out the back did not make up for the very average food. The meals were small and tasteless, especially the fish and chips and the beer was expensive!! Would we return, no.

I'd previously had quite good meals at the Byrneleigh so suggested a wander down there one weekend. No problems getting a table and we went for the specials. Fortunately my friend ordered and was happy with the fillet steak (hard to go wrong) but I was disappointed with a tough and very ordinary Beef Stroganoff. Disappointing for the price.

Very up market, well done up and good looking with parking at the rear. But the prices are a little steep.

No complaints with the service or atmosphere...very pleasant. BUT the food definitely leaves a lot to be desired. Over priced and mediocre. Whilst the rump steak was tender in the steak sandwich, the other fillings were disappointing, No onion relish, no caponata, no Swiss cheese, just roasted capsicum!! The pizzas at over $20 were a rip off. The base must... More
