Faultless food, friendly service a little pricey

We often go to Itsara because of the wonderful food and service. We recommend the 'let us impress you' option at $55 p.p. However this does not include dessert or tea/coffee, nor any drinks. The food is truly amazing with each mouthful like a flavor bomb in your mouth.

John Lethlean is right: this is special Thai, with careful and warm service and attention to detail. I've never tasted Thai basil fried crispy! or Thai pea eggplants. Delicious. The Tom Yum soup was fantastic, packed with flavour and heat. There's a lovely garden area, too cold now but we will love it in summer.

I highly recommend a visit to Itsara Thai and think it is one of the best Thai restaurants in Perth. They don't take shortcuts in quality (they use Australian Seafood) and the flavor combinations are amazing and very different to other Thai restaurants around Perth. The decor is nice and they have a lovely courtyard which would be nice in... More

This was the second time we have been here . The first time about a month ago and was impressed we decided to go back with a group of my partners business associates. Again we came away impressed with the food. Beautifully presented and the combination of flavour superb. Certainly one of the best Thai restaurant in Perth. Great ambience... More

My husband and four of our friends visited this restaurant this evening. We had not seen two of these friends since my son's funeral 17 months ago. Previous to our son's death we were busy with hospitalisation for approximately 18 months. Accordingly we were not privy to this restaurant's byo policy which we were told had been established for 3... More

We had a great meal here for our wedding anniversary and were totally blown away by the quality of the food and the presentation. Normally in Perth Thai food can be a bit hit and miss but Itsara really impressed us. Very good quality very innovative and very good value. Highly recommend to lovers of Thai food!

Itsara provides Thai influenced cooking but at the up market end. The restaurant has a great ambiance efficient friendly service and very tasty food presented very well. We go often for a good value, quality meal with friends, we tend to choose and share a mix of multiple entrees in preference to a smaller number of mains. The entrees are... More

The four of us chose the Itsara Impress option at $58, and it did. Four individual starters each in those buffet style spoons looked the part, though I have to say a couple could be improved. The main courses were superb - barramundi (which I always find disappointing), duck, seafood, and beef - which I would never had ordered, but... More

My second visit and looked forward to it and was not disappointed. Excellent food, good service and a nice evening. The menu is not large but contains more authentic takes on classic Thai dishes. The staff are more than happy to help convert dishes to vegetarian and also fire the dishes up for those who like chili. It's not cheap... More

I suppose one of the problems facing an ethnic restaurant is the language barrier that can sometimes accompany employing authentic nationals who understand the food and the culture. The food we ordered at Itsara was excellent although a little pricy. The real problem was that the staff were difficult to understand and this problem was not helped by the live'... More
