This restaurant is a cut above your average Thai establishment. A limited menu but all dishes exhibit the exquisite range of flavours in every dish. Venue is lovely especially out the back on a warm Perth evening. Service is good. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Overpriced and not that great Arrogant manager and staff who are very obliging but really struggling with English also they took a bottle of wine from me as they were fully licensed and forgot to give it back as we left. It all looks very pretty but the flavours were lacking I was disappointed

Joined friends for whom this restaurant was becoming a favourite! We decided on the 'let us impress you menu' $55 per person on a Tuesday evening and the food was to die for! The flavours were exquisite, the presentation superb, and the service terrific. Rave Rave Rave.... We arrived without a booking - a mistake as the place was almost... More

The courtyard garden where we sat is just so lovely where we were surrounded by beautiful orchids and palms. That section also had outdoor heaters. The service is cheerful and friendly. One of the main dishes ( nectarous duck curry) is tasty, 'Three Kings from the Sea' and the green curry are very average. The creme brulee dessert is expensive... More

Itsara Thai is a typical Western suburb Perth restaurant - over priced, poor service, poor food serving and an arrogant (can do no wrong owner) to match. The place is half full for a reason. It is simply rubbish

It's just as John Lethlean said: good. Vibrant, clean flavours, unusual combinations (ginger kafir lime brûlée, be sure to save room for it) Thai eggplant! Fried Thai basil all crispy and delicious, Tom yum soup from heaven. Which is why it's wise to book. And ask which nights are BYO. This is seriously good, innovative Thai food.

Restaurant was a bit crammed with tables a bit too close together for our liking. Also a little too warm - AC didn't seem to be on. Staff were very attentive and polite. We had the Tom Yum Goong which was very authentic with all the fresh ingredients. The curry's were also tasty although a little too sweet. Serving sizes... More

Full on fabulous fresh Thai Viet flavours with coriander, lime, ginger overlying good strong bases of simple chicken seafood, beef, lamb, vegetable etc. lots of flavour interest from the assam-manis (sweet-sour) interplay, with a minor influence of the pedas (chillie hot). Service very good, licensed. A great up market and slightly classy (and more expensive) Asian oasis.
