Description: Welcome to Café Fusiones!... a place that initially emerged as an idea in November 2008, we wanted to create a space in which people enjoy and encounter the flavour, aroma, beauty and quality of the organic products which are offered in our region – Amazonas. In April 2009, we opened our doors in order to offer you an extensive menu with a fusion of flavours based on regional organic products, following the principles of ‘slow food’ (as opposed to fast food), guaranteeing good, fair food, with tasty ingredients, produced without damaging the environment, wildlife or our own health; and always ensuring a fair and just price is paid to the producers. For this reason, we work directly with community organizations and private businesses, such as the Cooperativa Agraria Rodríguez de Mendoza with their flagship product Bio Café, the Asociación de Productores Santa Rosa who provide us with our organic natural sugar, La Chetina, with its milk based products and jams made from local fruits, the Asociación de Mujeres Artesanas de Leymebamba, with their artisan textiles and Artesanía Huamán, with their work in wood. We sell all of their products in our Fair Trade shop. In café Fusiones we support and promote fair trade and in addition to buying our region´s organic food products we also take account of the fine work of local carpenters, potters, weaver and other artisans, because we trust and value their work and we are proud to show the art that they have created with their hands.

Fran and Marilyn run a very friendly and helpful tour business (Nuevos Caminos) and cafe (Cafe Fusiones) in Chachapoyas, that cater very well for local travellers' needs. Prior to our arrival, we provided them with information about our local travel ideas and budget constraints and they provided us with a package of appropriate accommodation and a mix of day tour... Located a short walk from Chachapoya's main plaza, this little cafe is popular with tourists and ex-pats for obvious reasons. It's clean, comfortable and welcoming: the kind of place you can settle in to work on your lap top (taking advantage of the free wi-fi) or perhaps curl up with a book. You can even pick up something new to... More

Good breakfast, excellent fruit salad, apple tea was a revelation, loved the coffee and the salads. Makes a great change from on the road Peruvian food. Recommended

This was one of the first places I was recommended to go for coffee, light food and wifi. As some of you know it's not that easy to find that. The server was really friendly and tried to accommodate me as much as he could. He gave me the menu and I ordered one of the breakfasts. I didn't see... More

This is a cafe for travellers, as evidenced by it having almost the only working espresso machine in town. The staff were incredibly helpful and nice, the coffee was fabulous and the menu, though limited, was blessedly light on for both sugar and salt.

We are happy to hear that you loved our coffee made in a small home machine. We know that during his visit, we did not have all of our products to offer on the menu, but please note that today you can enjoy all our meals and drinks. All the best. More

We went here specifically because the menu offered several veggie options. The first time we tried it, we were told by the surly waiter that they were out of what I wanted. We gave them one more try, coming back to try ordering something else. There are 4 veggie options on the menu, and it turned out they really didn't... More

Good morning. I'm so sorry to hear that during your visit to our establishment you received poor service and we were not able to meet your needs. This was such a relief to discover in Chachas. After 2 weeks in distant villages here was a place to order a beautiful but simple salad and fresh fruit juice. The menu is wonderful and difficult to find in much of Latin America for a wandering gringo. And there is an atmosphere of awareness as they offer "alternative tourism," not... More

If you are looking for a place to find a nice organic Amazonian Coffee and something to eat with it cafe Fusiones is a good choice. The options of cakes and desserts are not that many compared to others in the city, however their vegetarian lentil hamburger is very decent considering its value for money, Nice Deco & Book Exchange.

Fantastic, delicious breakfasts and best coffee in town. Owners Marilyn and Fran and waiter Marcelo are terrific hosts. WiFi, great music, comfortable atmosphere. Five years in business and I hope they stay around a long time; Chacha would be poorer without Fusiones. One of the best meeting places in town for travelers to learn about where to go and what...
