Welcome to Café Fusiones!... a place that initially emerged as an idea in November 2008, we wanted to create a space in which people enjoy and encounter the flavour, aroma, beauty and quality of the organic products which are offered in our region – Amazonas. In April 2009, we opened our doors in order to offer you an extensive menu with a fusion of flavours based on regional organic products, following the principles of ‘slow food’ (as opposed to fast food), guaranteeing good, fair food, with tasty ingredients, produced without damaging the environment, wildlife or our own health; and always ensuring a fair and just price is paid to the producers. For this reason, we work directly with community organizations and private businesses, such as the Cooperativa Agraria Rodríguez de Mendoza with their flagship product Bio Café, the Asociación de Productores Santa Rosa who provide us with our organic natural sugar, La Chetina, with its milk based products and jams made from local fruits, the Asociación de Mujeres Artesanas de Leymebamba, with their artisan textiles and Artesanía Huamán, with their work in wood. We sell all of their products in our Fair Trade shop. In café Fusiones we support and promote fair trade and in addition to buying our region´s organic food products we also take account of the fine work of local carpenters, potters, weaver and other artisans, because we trust and value their work and we are proud to show the art that they have created with their hands.

Great coffee!

Ill start by saying I loved the coffee. I drank it black and loved it. All the coffee is. The food is also great. It isnt the cheapest place in town, but the food, drinks, service and vibes make it worth a few extra Soles. Everyone who worked there was great. There was the Peruvian woman, who I... read more

What a great little spot! Good food, coffee, vibe and rustic decor. A little bit of everything, artisania, book exchange, even a groovy playlist. Great staff. Classic hangout, right off the plaza. In additional awesomeness, the cafe works with community organizations to provide organic and fair trade ingredients, even selling them in their shop! This cafe is also a godsend... More

Great coffee, perfect breakfast, friendly service. Shame it came to my attention on the last day here, but what a wonderful way to spend a few hours before a night bus onward.

The place offers everything I appreciate in a cafe: relaxing sofas, really friendly owners, an excellent coffee, WiFi, great relaxing music, books for exchange and travel guides. I tried out some desserts. The portions are not that big, but it was really delicious. That makes the price really ok!

i just like the relaxes atmosphere of this bar, where i used to go to browse internet (the wifi is kind of faster than what you get in other places). the owner Marilyn is super nice. The menu offer is very nice and simple and should work for every taste. the fruit juices are great.

Cafe fusions is a cute little coffee shop close to the main plaza. While not the best dining in Chachapoyas it is a friendly 'home base' to eat breakfast, to check emails, to sip coffee or just hang out between excursions. It has a book exchange and the owner is very knowledgeable about local attractions.

Fran and Marilyn run a very friendly and helpful tour business (Nuevos Caminos) and cafe (Cafe Fusiones) in Chachapoyas, that cater very well for local travellers' needs. Prior to our arrival, we provided them with information about our local travel ideas and budget constraints and they provided us with a package of appropriate accommodation and a mix of day tour...
