Creative, enjoyable food, unexpected location

One Michelin star: fully deserved. What makes this even more special is the location... You'd never expect this in Ostia! Do try the Tagliolino with trombolotto and shrimp and the Risotto with sea asparagus and urchin! We liked the ricciola very much. Cardamom custard was a pleasant surprise. Most... read more

As usual it was a very worthy experience. We got the 10 course tasting menu and I cannot say much more than exceptional. The service is of very high level with courtesy and the right level of details in serving and describing the dishes. My only little criticism this time is about the wine, not because of the sommelier or... More

Il Tino is located on an obscure little side street sure to confuse YOU as a driver, and your GPS as an infallible appliance to make your life more productive and worry free, trust it it really is just a few feet away. Is it worth it...BIG TIME👍...This restaurant is worth a plane ride let alone a little 20 minute... More

A remarkable experience. I've been there with some friends and we opted for the 10 courses "degustazione" menù. I must say it was really a journey of taste and smells. Directed with a crescendo from the start to the finish. Every single dish from the red Sicilian shrimps to the pork were never to far apart from each other in... More

This was my wife and my second visit to Tino's, and it was again wonderful. The food is adventurous and delicious, melding new flavours with the best of the old, and the service is impeccable. The dessert wine was a revelation! I do not usually like dessert wine.

We were taken to Il Tino by friends. It's small and located on a small side street in Ostia. Our service was top notch; the waiter fluent in both Italian and English. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco and a fresh oyster in the half shell. Our food for the most part was tasty, inventive, and artfully presented.... More

This restaurant was recommended highly by friends, and now I see why. The service was impeccable, the food sublime and adventurous, and the wine superb. We had the tasting menu - oyster, amazing bloody mary (I do not even like bloody mary!), shrimp tempura, spaghetti with rocket pesto, sea bass and horse radish. Even the bread was out of this... We have sought out restaurants all around the world and were very impressed with Il Tino. The service was amazing. We asked the Maitre D to match wine with each course and he gave us a fascinating tour of Italian wines from small regions impeccably matched to the food. the food itself was fabulous. Even the bread and bread sticks... More

I've been here several times, and every meal was better than the previous one. Good food, with a strong emphasis on the italian tradition but always with some intriguing innovation. The wines are offered with an accompanying explanation about their history, peculiarities and so on. I love it
