Usual lunch spot

When we happen to be in Port, we always take time for lunch at Jester's. Especially in the summer, being able to sit on the patio and people watch while taking in their great pub food and a couple of pints, is a great way to take in the small town atmosphere.

Went here for lunch with an old friend. The food coming out of the kitchen looks amazing. I decided to try the brisket. Dry, no sauce and it was chunked into such small pieces it all just fell off the bun and I ate it with a fork. Fries and gravy were fine. I just wish there was some consistency... More

.Haven't been to Jesters for a few years and thought we'd give it another go to see if the food had improved - it hasn't. Nothing wrong with the reception or service - all the problems are with the kitchen. Menu wasn't awe inspiring so I chose the fish and chips - standard pub fare. My one companion had the... More

Unforunately the quesadilla I ordered was filled with uncooked ingredients. The chicken was cooked but all the peppers were uncooked and everything spilled out of the tortillas. There did not seem to be any melted cheese to hold the filling together. It was not warm, toasty, meltingly delicious like I had expected it to be. It was cool to the... More

This is the kind of pub atmosphere you find in little towns. Food is ok, almost predictable if that makes sense. Server we had was friendly and efficient, probably a long time employee...which speaks volumes about the place. Nice patio out front, though it does face a road and supermarket. The trees around it help. Fresh hot French fries were... More

Love this place. Comfy, warm and relaxed, been hear many times with friends and family. The closest you'll get to a British pub anywhere in Port Perry and I should know, i'm from England and 'pub' is my middle name.

Excellent service. Great atmosphere. I did not run into the ghost upstairs. I would go back again. It is a fun place.

My son and daughter in law recently held their wedding reception Sept 2015 at Jester Court. I must say that the entire staff were amazing to work with. They offered suggestions and took care of so many details which helped decrease the stress of planning a reception. Most of all I have to commend the Chef for the best chicken,... More
