This is a simple but nice family restaurant in Port Perry and a decent place to stop if you are in a hurry to or from the cottage. A very general menu, designed to please the whole family.

This establishment serves a great breakfast at a reasonable price. We have eaten dinner here as well and you good a very large quantity at a reasonable price. It is not a licensed restaurant so if you are looking for an alcoholic beverage you are out of luck. Nice place for families. It is very busy for breakfast especially on... More

My husband and I had a hankering for Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday. It is just the two of us so cooking a feast for two is not practical. We had to run an errand in Port Perry anyway so decided to pop in for dinner. Lo and behold they were serving turkey with all the trimmings, including a soup or... More

The service here is always good, as is the food. It is simply prepared and served in copious quantities at a fair price. The club sandwich is very good, as is breakfast. My mother always orders the Reuben, and can barely manage to eat half. While you won't get Epicurean fare, you will get good, plain food in a happy... More

Always consistently excellent meals and surprisingly reasonable prices...hard to find a place that offers so much for everyone and at great prices. Fast service with friendly staff.

We eat at Hyland many times throughout the year. It never disappoints. Their hot hamburg is easily in the top three I've ever had. The chicken parm on a bun is also really good. The portions are super big so if you have pets they'll love you for the leftovers. The restaurant can get busy but it's usually never a... More

I have been to this restaurant several times, both for breakfast and dinner. Their breakfasts are very good, but the key dish to order is the corned beef hash. Outstanding. I have been to several restaurants noted for their corned beef hash in New York, and this one is better. If you go for dinner you have to order the... More

We stop in at the Highland a few times a year enroute to the Kawarthas. I really love their Russian vegetable soup that's always on the menu. It's the tangiest I have sampled against many other restaurants. In fact, I crave it when the weather cools down in fall and winter. It really warms you up The other items on... More
