You HAVE to try the fish and chips (halibut of course!)

Always delicious. I enjoy their salads, too. Very friendly attentive service. It's best to make a reservation, but two of us have been able to dine there without one, with a bit of a wait. There is a washroom at the front entrance as well as the one downstairs. I have eaten there several times... read more

You know that feeling of delight you get when you make a random choice and it turns out to be awesome? That was my experience this May long weekend when my friend and I stumbled across Just For the Halibut in Bobcaygeon. We were heading to Bancroft and had to stop to eat. We saw the restaurant which looks pretty... More

As a frequent out-of-town visitor, I've been patronizing 'Just for the Halibut' for over fourteen years. It's a great fish restaurant, and I still feel that their halibut and chips meal is about the best I've had anywhere. This odd-looking building is deceptive from the front, but cavernous inside. Regardless, on some weekend evenings, you may have to line-up and... More

Nothing but positive things today about just for the halibut!! Incredible staff and amazing meals. We had one young gentleman who was over the top nice and allowed me to sample beer I had not tried. I have brought both family and friends here and would definitely recommend the lock beer and the stuffed sole!

We stopped in for lunch on an early spring trip to Bobcaygeon. Our initial table for two was just outside the kitchen and consequently quite noisy. We asked to be moved and once we settled into the larger room, we were quite comfortable. We ordered the halibut. "Market Price" was $11.99 for the lunch. I had it grilled and my... More

thank-you for your review. I am glad we were able to accommodate your request for a different table to make your stay more enjoyable. Just a note we are fully wheelchair accessible with a washroom at the front door, for people who have difficulty with stairs. Our change table is also located in that washroom for the wee ones. Hope... More

Great fish, really well cooked and not too much batter. Another person from our table had a burger and it looked pretty awesome. Butterscotch candy at the end was a nice touch too :)
