The Halibut n Chips I had was delicious but as it was a take out order I assumed I'd be given eating utensils which I was not. They sure give you a pile of chops but not a very big piece of fish....

Thank you for your review. We usually do ask at the take-out what "extras" (cutlery, sauces etc) the customer requires but if we didn't we sincerely apologize. We don't assume the customer needs these things and that is why we ask as we are trying to be environmentally conscience. Thank-you again and we are sorry for any issues that this... More

The halibut and chips are so delicious that it is difficult to try the other amazing menu items, so regular visits are recommended. Menu has something for everyone and the daily specials are always a good choice. Good beer menu. Very family friendly. Usually busy on Fridays and Saturdays, so reservations are recommended. Great atmosphere...casual yet classy. Decor is interestingly... More

Waited an hour after order placed. Food was good and price was reasonable. We had pickerel, haddock, halibut and soup. All good.

It's a bit pricey but they do have the best fish and chips in the City of Kawartha Lakes. The Lindsay paper says different but their mail-in comments are more for the seniors, the biggest volume for the buck.

The food was excellent, the portions were huge, the service was fantastic! Our son came for a visit so we decided to go there for some fish and chips, what a wonnderful choice. No wonder the place is so busy; good food, good value, and excellent service! We have just added it to our very short list of special places... More

It has been a while since I was in Bobcaygeon. Just for the Halibut was a favourite. It was a trip down memory lane to visit. I was so pleased that the food was just as good as I remembered. Fortunately the next visit wont be so long in coming.

Always delicious. I enjoy their salads, too. Very friendly attentive service. It's best to make a reservation, but two of us have been able to dine there without one, with a bit of a wait. There is a washroom at the front entrance as well as the one downstairs. I have eaten there several times, and look forward to going... More

You know that feeling of delight you get when you make a random choice and it turns out to be awesome? That was my experience this May long weekend when my friend and I stumbled across Just For the Halibut in Bobcaygeon. We were heading to Bancroft and had to stop to eat. We saw the restaurant which looks pretty... More
