We have visited this location several times in the past and have always had a good time and good food but this time it was like a horse and pony show! Free entertainment complements of the staff. There were 3 wait staff and the owner all on the patio but no organization at all. The very loud server was so... More

We arrived at 1:50 in the afternoon, so the lunch rush was well over and thus, expected prompt service. We were seated on the patio overlooking the river... nice location! The menu looked decent enough - a fair variety of dishes from which to choose. The waitress was very pleasant, but it turned out also very slow. We had been... More

I have been to the inn/big tomato many times. They have the absolute best patio in bobcaygeon, literally sitting on top of the river. It amazes me the place isn't more crowded for this alone. The food is been up and down, nothing fancy but decent sandwiches. I have had some nice meals for dinner before but it seems to... More

It was very nice to sit on the patio with a very nice view of the recreational boats on there way to the lock. The Inn has a beautiful scenic location, so when we saw the menu we were a little disappointed, fish and chips was the only item that caught my fancy. That disappointment was not reduced when we... I had the pleasure of visiting Bobcaygeon, Ontario, and had lunch at what looked like a pleasant restaurant on the waterfront. The Bobcaygeon Inn is one of the oldest inns in the Kawarthas and boasts the largest patio in the area. When I arrived there were lots of empty tables, and I was seated immediately. The waiter, was quite friendly,... More

The room was clean and charming, the staff was amazing and helpful. Liz the owner was very nice and Gary very helpful! The patio is beautiful and we spent a glorious afternoon watching the boats go by and had a very delicious homemade lunch there. Dinner was also amazing in the dinning room with hand battered fish and homemade dressing... More

Classic pubfare for the offering. Nothing ground breaking about this place, but when in Bobcaygeon a great place for a drink or munch with friends. The patio overlooks the river and there's always a breeze. I imagine it gets "hopping" after dark....

Well, I'm glad we hadn't read any of the reviews on here before we went! We actually had a lovely drink on the patio with a fantastic view and the gentleman who served us (I'm pretty sure the owner) was really friendly.

The Bobcaygeon Inn is a lovely spot. We enjoyed sitting by the water in the Muskoka chairs. We came for a visit in early October and arrived late in the evening. Since it was off season the restaurant had closed early, but the owner was very kind and made soup and a wrap for us. The staff at the Inn... More
