Visited this charming little coffee shop in the coastal town of Stonehaven today. What a delight it was. On entering we were greeted by a young man who made us feel like we regulars. We were seated and given menus along with some charming chat. The food was cooked to perfection and served piping hot, which is always nice. We... More

Today's weather was (in the words of a shopkeeper) typical Wimbledon weather, i.e. rain on and off all day. Just been to see a small Highland Games in soggy Drumtochty and when I left, I wanted something warming. So I dropped in on Maggie May's and had a bowl of Cullen Skink, which was delicious. It was rich and comforting,... More

Visited this restaurant/cafe for the first time since the new owners took over. When we entered the place was packed, every table full always a good sign. However, the staff were not very welcoming, no greeting of how long we might have to wait and then when we got a table again no welcome. The person taking our order asked on... More

This is a popular cafe situated in the heart of Stonehaven. There is plenty variety, prices are about average for an establishment of this type and the staff are very pleasant. The food quality is good.

We stumbled upon this wee treasure on a Saturday afternoon visit to Stonehaven. It is easy to find located just by the car park in the main square and a warm welcome awaits. We only wanted tea and sandwiches but were promptly served by very smiley pleasant staff. A delicious wee cake tempted us too. Will definitely be back!

Such an adorable little tearoom. Just popped in for a hot chocolate before having a walk around the town. Lovely escape from the cold. Great service. Cosy, warm atmosphere, very romantic.

Popping in just to have a hot drink before a walk around the local area we found this lovely little cafe that served all sorts of delicious delights, small but yet not cramped it felt cosy and certainly warmed us up on a cold November day! Hot drinks were perfect with all the lovely things you'd expect for such a... More
