Have a drink, enjoy the view, take amazing pictures but skip the meal

The drive up is terrible but like everyone else says, once you get up there and see the views is all worth it. It left me speechless for a few minutes and that doesn't happen often. Yes, you will need a 4x4 to get here. Yes the views alone make it worth the effort, as does the Spanish owner of the joint. The paella was solid but a nice bottle of white wine for lunch and that view is all one really needs...

Loved, loved, loved this place. They have a few rooms and a tree house for rent which are funky places to stay. We had our own bath, but we warned, only cold water. This is an Eco place. Generator lights are turned off late at night. Take a flashlight in case you have to get up during the night. We... More

We enjoyed the view, the uniqueness of the restaurant, and the beautiful sunset more than the food. I would return for the atmosphere and good drinks (mojitos were excellent), but the food was bland. We ordered the calamari and grouper entrees. Most expensive meal we had during our stay at roughly US$90 w/ tip and tax. (They took our US... More

First of all, if you're planning a trip to the DR, go to Las Galeras! Second, definitely make the trip to El Cabito. It's the perfect place to play a game of chess and watch the sunset. The managers were super friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious - we got the paella! My partner is from Catalunya - as... More

We went here last night for our anniversary. The view Is spectacular but make sure to go around sunset or it gets hot and you'll need your sunscreen. The octopus in garlic was delicious with well seasoned vegetables on the side. The conch in coconut sauce was also very good. Great pina colada! Only downfall is that as mainly English... More

Loved it as soon as we started walking towards the restaurant and a baby goat ran by trying to keep up with a pet dog. Knew we were in for a unique evening! Our table overlooked the cliff edge and watching the sunset escapes adequate description. The only thing that would have topped the atmosphere was if someone was diving... More

This place is definitely worth a trip. We did it by motoconcho, and arranged for our drivers to come back for us 2 hours later. You will need that amount of time, minimum, more if you are going to have dessert too. We had the seafood paella, and a calmari dish, both were really good and filling. After ordering, we... More

Loved the view of this beautiful restaurant perched on a a cliff overlooking the sea. Food was good but not outstanding. Definitely worth the trip if you are in Ls Galeras if even for a drink. Best to go with a guide or during the day as the road is not especially car friendly.
