A must see if youre in Samana...great staff and breath taking view. Kind of a pain to get to but well worth the backroad location.

This restaurant has an impressive setting with amazing views of the sunset and serves delicious seafood and paella. Equally the hosts are friendly and talkative. Although the food and setting is enjoyable, unfortunately the prices are simply too high which left a slightly sour taste when we received the bill - hence 4/5

I had seen this on Anthony Bourdains show and thought I had to come. The last 4 times I was in the DR I never got to make due to it being so far away from the capital. But I made sure I went this past time and was it ever worth it . Takes a little bit to get... More

Liked everything. The food, the VIEWS, the wait staff. Totally casual, built high up on a cliff over the sea. Incredible. The ride there is not for the faint of heart. You need a sturdy cab, preferably 4WD. The roads are steep, rocky with lots of ditches. Upon arrival, you have to walk down (literally downhill) a rocky dirt path.... More

El Cabito is probably the most 'famous' restaurant in the Las Galeras area, due to it being featured on an episode of "No Reservations" a couple years ago. This restaurant sits on the edge of a cliff, east of town down a bumpy, hilly road which makes you say, "this better be worth it!" And, it is. The view is... More

The view first and foremost was delicious and unbelievable. It was a family style restaurant, with a eco-friendly, living room, tiki bar type feel. Absolutely amazing! The is little menu items, however they are all incredibly delicious! I had the grouper with was big enough for 3 people with lots of fresh vegetables on the side. and my Mom had... More

This restaurant is on a tiny dirt road filled with potholes and rocks. If you are driving yourself, make sure you have 4X4, or that you are comfortable driving on very rough, winding, rocky road. We were afraid of getting a flat tire on our rental car. Most of all PHONE BEFORE YOU GO TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE OPEN!!!!... More

The restaurant at El Cabito (they also have accommodations) overhangs an awesome cliff and faces West, so if you're making the trek out there, make sure to do it in time for sunset. It is quite a trek. Although I know some backpackers hike there from town, I think it would take about 45 minutes to walk. But it's easy... More

While visiting the are a few of us went to the El Cabito. The trip there was exciting and the view when we arrived was fabulous, It was well worth the $30 taxi ride. The food was good but it was expensive, Entre plus a drink ran $35 each. .by the time we left it was dark and we couldn't... More

The views and location of this restaurant is amazing! However, restaurant is overpriced ($15-$40 per entree) and the quality of the food is hit or miss. We ate here twice. First time we went everything was great!! Second time I was shocked at the quality of the fish. It was incredibly oily and not fresh. We told the owner and... More
