Great atmosphere, lots of dishes to choose from and super service - what else can you ask for ? Highly recommend this as a high end dining choice.
My parents really like Riccardo's, and it is understandable why. This is good quality family style Italian. I therefore tend to end up here with them when I am back home in Essex County. Nothing fancy, and not exceptional, but it is solid. Waitresses always tend to be friendly, and service is usually quick, which is good because its usually... More
The arrival of the Tall ships in ABerg was topped off with my wife performing a wedding ceremony on Board the Lynx and then dining at Riccardo's. We had my 89 year old Mother-in-Law along with us and the venue was great. Food was better than average especially the pasta. Perch was also well done. Caesar salads were not overly... More
Riccard'os Italian Restaurant is a local favourite. My aunt took me there on a visit in May. We arrived early as we did not make a reservation. Just a well, as the place was packed. There is an extensive menu. We hear good things about all the items. We enjoyed our dinner. The service is good and efficient.
Often times you can tell the quality of a restaurant by the bread and the salad. Is the salad made from a variety of fresh greens or sliced iceburg? The salad was a mixture of the two and told me that this would be a standard "family dining" experience. The sliced bread reinforced this. Alright but not of the highest... More
The food is a huge disappointment. Powdered fake parmesan , not real? People know the difference - it's gross. The tomato sauce is ORANGE! Go to Erie st as the others say.
Absolute garbage! They used processed cheese singles for the so-called "chicken parmigiana" and when I brought it to their attention, the waitress SHRUGGED!
Amherstburg lacks quality dining establishments and Riccardo's is the best. Great menu of tasty selections and in a great location with wonderful views. Have been here often with large groups and hope to continue visiting. Very nice outdoor patio facing the Detroit River.
We love this place - it is pretty much the only place in Amherstburg we really look forward to going to diner at. This place is always busy and he does well. I think it's about time to upgrade the customer eatting area or put an expansion on - all would make it even better.
This busy little restaurant draws a lot of business, especially in the summer. The smell of garlic lures you in from down the street. They have a very nice patio, looking out on the lovely park that runs along the Detroit river.
