This is one of the better place for a meal in Muggia. We went there for lunch and were served a wonderful zuppa di pesce. The seating is on a covered terrace looking out at the harbour.
The day we visited for lunch there was a mini-Bora happening outside but we sat out on the terrace anyway and we were fine (they had it completely enclosed but we could still see the sea). The food was fantastic. We started with the pesto gnocchi with sardines and it was delicious. The Fritto Misto was the best ever. So... More
It never happen before (I'm vegetarian since 30 years): I knew it is a famous fish restaurant, and the friend who came to visit me was curious to give it a try. We asked at the reception and they simply refuse to serve any kind of food without fish or seafood, therefore we did not even entered the place. Difficult... More
Simply delicious. Amazing food. Special fish recepies, not usual boring fish dishes. Restaurant look and feel is quite simple but has a plus..a terrace overlooking the sea. I got canestrelli and asparagus as a starter and gnocchi with vongole as a main. Both delicious!! My fiancé had seppie and vegetables and spaghetti with bottarga and riccio.. Delicious as well. we went to have a nice family lunch, with our children and the dog. We were very welcomed. The entries, primo was very good. The portion are small but very tasty and very well arraed. The desert and local vine "Glera" was excelent, only te price was a lttle high.

Trattoria Risorta met or exceeded them all. Some of the best fish I have ever had. Seafood side was slim pickens (it is February!) but what they... More
Maybe I'm not the usual client for this restaurant, but I didn't eat as I expected: too spicy, small portions, too expensive. The most disappointing dish was the grilled fish: it was not grilled!! Only a couple of boiled (or somethin like this) fish fillets....low quality/price ratio
really nice restaurant in nearby the old Muggia harbour. great fish, always fresh, cooked in fantastic ways, sometimes really unusual. the wine selection is also really good, with local top wines and good italian choice.
We go through that area twice a year and have had lunch their coming and going each year for the past three years. I dream about their foiegras topped with a large prawn, lightly cooked to retain its natural sweetness. My wife always has their very lightly prepared fritto misto as a second course and I choose an unusually good... More
