When you are travelling north of Italy you can not go past going to San Daniele to try their local Prosciutto. I come from the area, so I tried most of the place were you can get prosciutto di san daniele. The Bintars has absolutely the best prosciutto of san daniele.

Our tennis coach advised us to visit this restaurant when he heard that we were going to visit San Daniele to try the ham. We ate on the porch/veranda (open air but covered seating area). It's a rustic family owned place excellent to taste San Daniele ham. It's clean and easy to find (in front of the hospital), service is fast. The ham is delicious, served with gout cheese and vegetables. Be ready to high prices compared to the portions.

Don't forget to request for the goat cheese. You won't regret it! Another classic restaurant in San Daniele Del Friuli thats a must!!!
