Excellent !!

My wife and I had an unplanned journey in that way and we stopped in the Trattoria Sale e Pepe. The food and kindness of the staff was a very pleasant surprise for both of us. We'll sure be back !!

Stregna is a bit far from the common tourist towns, but the visit up to Sale e Pepe will make it an unforgettable experience. Plus, the scenic drive up is breath taking. The owners, Teresa and Franco will make you feel at home. Let Franco guide you through the wine choices that better match the creations from Teresa´s kitchen, his... More

After having had many meals of honest delicious local food, we welcome the change to dine at Trattoria Sale e Pepe. Every dish we had was beautifully presented, creative and delicious. The table setting was simple but elegant. Among what we ordered, our favorites were 1) the baccala' and polenta antipasto and 2) fiori di patate (stuffed gnocchi in shape... More

Me and my husband took all courses and ordered starters and main courses also for our small kids. The cuisine is a sophisticated version of the local food. We loved... More

The dishes are well presented, the portions are average. The Waiter, housband of the chef, is reliable and can suggest you the right wine to... More

Been there in July 2009 and had the most fantastic experience in cuisine that was absolutely exhilarating. The goose prosciutto and the stuffed duck just melted. The drive up to the restaurant was scenic and the hospitality was great. The recommended wine went well with the served food. Going back there in June 2010 and obviously visiting Sale e Pepe...
