We live in Princes Risborough and regularly walk up in the Chilterns around the town. Whiteleaf is a convenient stop off on the way back home and it is a treat to stop off at the Red Lion for a drink or some of their great food. This is a traditional pub with very well kept beers and a good... More

Sue, Tony & Tim run a great little pub, B&B & restaurant. Very welcoming to all! Excellent food, drink & atmosphere! We have visited regularly, as dogs are very welcome!

Have on a regular basis visited this great village pub with my family , the food and the service is of a high standard and would have no problem in recommending to others.

We visited the Red Lion after a walk at Whiteleaf Cross with our puppy. The atmosphere is lovely and it's welcoming and friendly. Yes it's a small village pub but it's perfectly formed. There is a large separate restaurant area but I liked it in the pub. Our puppy was welcomed and was fussed over but mostly he was allowed... More

To be honest, this wasn't the pub I thought I was going to. Took my Mum for a birthday dinner last week. It was a bit problematic booking the meal, left E-mails and messages on the answerphone, but eventually someone picked up. The food was good, slightly posher than basic pub grub. Partner had whitebait and pulled pork in a... More

Amazing steak - melts in your mouth. Lovely staff and cosy feeling. Our dog was made very welcome too. Good size function room which has been redecorated recently. All in all a perfect little local.

After a beautiful country walk this pub is perfect for a cold beer and a meal. Very welcoming staff and locals that make you feel at home. Dog friendly too! Food and drink is fairly priced and the food is always very good. Definitely worth a visit.

This gem of a pub is tucked away in the leafy village of Whiteleaf. The food is extremely good and well presented. The staff are very welcoming and always make you feel welcome. The atmosphere is snug and in winter there is an open fire. I have eaten here several times on different days of the week and times of... More

Entrance to accomodation was through narrow door behind bar or round the back past kitchen area, in scruffy back door. Beds were old but comfy, clean bedding however the bathroom was not nice and shower useless, would have loved a cup of tea in the morning but inside of kettle was minging, to top it off £70 bill which was...
