We visited here by chance as we had a few hours to pass waiting for our son who was attending his prom locally. The food was fantastic as is the setting. Great to watch the horses outside while we ate inside. The garden is lovely too. All the staff were cheerful and friendly. Also it was cabaret night and it... More

Myself and my family had a carvery today, having been nearly everywhere over the years I've never tasted one this good. The meat was perfect with good variety, the veg was cooked to perfection and the gravy was the most tastiest we've had to. The barman/ bar managers cliff and Steve were so friendly and good sense of humour. The... More

We visit the bar every week for breakfast. One of the main reasons (apart from good food which is a major factor) is because of the care and attentiveness of the hosts, Cliff and Steve. They are so lovely, nothing is too much trouble, even when they are really busy, and they make us laugh! What more could you want... More

My family and I came to Kings for lunch this week and found it a very enjoyable experience, the weather was nice with enabled us to dine outside on the patio which was fantastic with fantastic views over the fields. We ate from the "Lite lunch" menu for around about £7.50 and this was fantastic value for good home cooked... More

We have been to King's before but not for a while. However, not much has changed - still very friendly staff and massive portion sizes for the Sunday carvery. The serving staff are very young but superbly enthusiastic and friendly and very attentive without overbearing. The food was good solid fare and masses of it. I had the whitebait to... More

We booked a table here to celebrate my parent's wedding anniversary and have to say that we were delighted with the experience. Not having eaten here before, we were slightly apprehensive, but we needn't have been! The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the food (both carvery and regular menu items) was fantastic. We were a group of 12 and... More

Lovely good value food. Excellent welcoming staff, and lovely environment within riding school. Having been here for breakfast, lunch and dinner on various occasions I would thoroughly recommend it

One of my worst dining experiences in a long time. Service slow and generally inept. The delivery truck obviously hadn't arrived that day because they ran out of the wine we chose, and steak. My second choice was a burger which would have been better had it been made from one of the elderly residents of the on-site riding school.... More
