Lonely Planet missed this one. I found based upon Trip Advisor and was I impressed! Beer is not served, but the restaurant doesn't object to you bringing your own. I went 2 nights and was delighted with the orders and service, which in both cases is as good as anywhere in Indonesia. I tried nasi goreng, mie ayam, ikan goreng,... More

A cap cay and any other meal with it would definately be enough to last you from lunch to dinner as the meals are of a reasonable size and filling and are tasty as well. A tall cold glass of sirsak to have before, with or after a meal is a must but don't expect to be able to find... More

Among the large selection of eateries in Waingapu, Mr Cafe is a centrally-located, easy to find all-day restaurant near the main market, the Merlin Hotel and the Catholic Church of Wara whose tower may serve as a landmark. Mr Cafe's staff are used to foreigners who lack Indonesian language skills. Try the local coffee and the fresh sea fish.
