We stopped in on a hot afternoon just to get a cool drink. Ended up enjoying the best Coca-Cola float I think I've ever had. The menu is a bit limited but pretty fairly priced, and the service was prompt and courteous. Before or after, take a little trip to the park at the island just under the bridge outside... More

We couldn't believe we stumbled across this gem! Food - the quality is fantastic, it's all cooked freshly for you, the ingredients they use are delicious. Highly recommend their breakfasts, the Tortuga burger & yukka chips - delicious! You just don't expect this quality in somewhere like Tena. We enjoyed it so much, we went once a day during our... This is a great little café, perfectly positioned by the lookout out where the two rivers meet in Tena. Sit in for a couple of hours enjoying great coffee or ice cream and good WiFi. Staff are friendly. They have several guidebooks and sell postcards and chocolate too. A great find.

A really nice café situated next to the park. I had a very good breakfast here. It's a little bit expensive but the staff is really nice and the food is worth every cent.

We popped in for a quick bowl of soup and it was very good. The Cafe is close to the foot bridge and island park, so a good location.

A nice place to get a good quality dinner, freshly prepared and good options for vegetarians. The place holds a friendly atmosphere and the stuff is helpful and fast. Breakfast is nicely organised with any options you like, from cereals to fresh fruit yougurt and pancakes, and good coffee.

Enjoyed the lunch here on our last day in Tena. Our team had a variety of items off the menu and everyone walked away having nothing but good things to say about their choices. I agree with a number of posts regarding the atmosphere at the restaurant, the food and the people. It is a pleasant and homey place to... More

We ate at the café Tortuga several times (breakfast and dinner) during our 4 day stay in Tena. It is run by a Swiss lady and the food is more European than local. There is a nice selection of juices, salads, sandwiches etc. Many tourists hang out here before and after rafting. The cafe is close to the rafting agencies,... More

Honestly, I didn't much enjoy the town of Tena. However, Cafe Tortuga is a bit of a hidden gem. Everything is made with purified water so there's no need to worry about getting sick. The menu is quite lengthy and there's something to please everyone.

I ate here twice during my four day stay in Tena. The food was very good and reasonably priced. There is also a small book exchange. I would recommend it!
