Just had a lovely lunch at this little restaurant. Simple menu, good prices (especially having just been in the heart of Chianti region), tasty food. Excellent bottle of wine and friendly welcoming service. We shall return!

Referred here from San Miniato hotel. Small restaurant with lovely simple Tuscan food especially meat dishes. May need to book ahead if busy.

The annual truffle festival is on in San Miniato, so things are busy! We called when we arrived, around 11, and got at 12:30 reservation. It has been a rainy, windy, chilly day, so the warm atmosphere was welcome. It's a tiny restaurant, simple and rather rustic, very pleasant. We ordered three dishes to share - an antipasto of carpaccio... More

We happened in here during truffle festival. Just wanted a simple pasta for lunch. We ordered pasta with white truffles which was amazing, and Pappardelle ala chingale. Both were really perfectly cooked and wonderful. Great house wine!! When we were ready for dessert, a table of six walked in and sat down next to us for lunch. It was non... More

Came here while walking the Via Francigena, so needed to just chill out and enjoy a nice meal, and I enjoyed this. Warm and welcoming, the food was good!

Don't be fooled by the small size and simple table lay out. This is seriously good food, all freshly made. The chef and owner has his car and motor bike racing photos round the restaurant that make good reading while he makes everything fresh for you, including the pasta . There are other restaurants around boasting glitzy surroundings etc., but I've learned through years... More

Small place with a big flavour. Rustic and homely. We had primi and secondi + wine. Make sure you pick a dish with truffles :)

Food is locally sourced and preparation is simple enough to allow the beautifully fresh ingredients to shine. The local SlowFood chapter is active--and it shows in this restaurant. Porcini salad antipasto is a generous serving of sliced raw mushrooms lightly tossed with wonderful olive oil a hint of lemon and salt with shaves of local pecorino cheese. The amount of... More

Just been for lunch, and it's so good I wanted to write this ASAP. Absolutely delicious food; I had 'tagliotoni e Tartufo Nero' (pasta with shavings of black truffle) and my partner had a stew of beef, pepper and chianti. Both dishes were incredible. We had the roast potatoes and cannelloni beans as sides. Worth every penny of the 43... More

Probably the best meal I've ever had. I like to think I've eaten in some great places but this took the biscuit. We had risotto and ravioli with bacon and ricotta cheese. The ravioli was to die for. For mains we had beef and peppers and wild boar casserole. Both were amazing. The atmosphere was great. The whole experience was... More
