Only thing missing was the view

Excellent service although only one of the staff members was proficient in English. The food was very well made, with local ingredients and stunning presentation. Probably the best dining experience we had while in Tuscany. Location is a little off the beaten path, and the view is not as good as some of the other local restaurants but the food... More

We had an amazing meal here! All four adults had the Toscany taster - six fantastic dishes. The children all had spagetti bolognese, no problem to get glutenfree pasta and bread. Very nice atmosphere in the evening and tumbling place for the kids on the grass. Absolutely worth a visit, we thought it was fantastic value for money!

We saved this for the last night of holiday and wow! It was brilliant. The food was gorgeous, every dish was simply amazing. The service was excellent and the waiter spoke English too. The perfect last night to a holiday. We will definitely go back again.

Since we were in Tuscany during truffle season we knew we had to do a special meal. After finding reviews of papaveri on TA we were eager to try. Wow! Unbelievable! Every dish was perfection!!! We had the cheese souffle, carpaccio and steak fiorentine all topped with truffles! Also the special pasta with butter and truffles was to die for!... More

We were lucky to get a table and had to wait a short while after our booked time. The meal was faultless with great service. Due to the wait we were given two free drinks which was a nice gesture. The menu is vast and there was a huge array of dishes to choose from. Highly recommended.

We have been coming to Tuscany for Tartufi Bianchi for the last few years and this year we have enjoyed 3 tartufo lunches. Paolo of Papaveri topped the list this year. His restaurant is in a bungalow with ample parking South of the San Miniato town towards La Serra. Decor was whimsical modern with brightly colored art pieces which warmed... More

Tonight was the last night of a 12 day business trip/eating extravaganza, and I have to say, dinner at Papaveri e Papere was amongst the best. Not only on this trip, but of the year!! Dinner started with an amuse of salmon, which was nice. Appetizers of a cured beef carpaccio with white truffles was sublime. A sautéed porcini mushroom... More

we had such a great time in this restaurant that we visited it twice during our stay in toscany! We found the place totally by accident when we were by san mniato, the first night (when we discovered the place) we had a great dinner of Italian traditional food with a modern edge. the food was delicious and the service... Great food, friendly service and reasonable prices - exactly what you want in a restaurant. I ordered an entree of three steak tartare's with different sauces and they were all great. My main was a tasty seafood spaghetti and the dessert was an amazing yoghurt and basil foam on a bed of pistachio and strawberries. I was there with a... More
