Best Cepahalinian cuisine

Family owned run business. One of the nicest taverns in Cephalonia. Staff are lovely and polite. As for the food it is Devine. Especially the Cephalinian pie. Desert is unique and to date I have not come across in my travels, it's amazing. If in Cephalonia you must visit this place.

If you fancy a traditional Greek meal with a bit of a modern twist, this is the place to eat. It is perfect for fine dining but families are also very welcome (even little babies). This is a family run restaurant with a great atmosphere. If you need anything special just ask and they will try to accommodate your needs... More

My wife and i stumbled across this place by accident. We were very hungry and decided to give it a chance. We ordered some bread with dip, salad, saganaki prawns, Octapus and calamari. For two people (with a toddler) we figured this would be enough food for lunch. The portion sizes were very small, We received one small octapus leg,... More

Kefalonia begins to close down for the winter towards the end of October but our visit to Ampelaki was refeshingly good at the weekend. The feta cheese with honey and sesame seeds. the Bourokakia (if I've spelt it correctly), and the fried Zucchini made excellent starters followed by chicken in brandy for my wife, rabbit for me, and a pasta... Well located restaurant on the way into the town from the cruise terminal. Very tasty local food and free wifi. An ideal spot for lunch, dinner or just a casual drink.

We were attracted to this restaurant by noticing the trip advisor logo and awards printed on the menu and we were not disappointed. The quality and choice of dishes was excellent and the waiting staff very polite and helpful. We liked it so much, we went back for a second visit during our stay in Argostoli. We would highly recommend... More

We had a very nice lunch there last september. All the Greek classics are on the menu. Because it was very hot that day we ordered "cold" food like salades and tzatziki. Nothing disappoints and was remarkable cheap. Service impeccable. So if your cruiseship docks in Argostoli have lunch here, as you pass it on your way to town or... More
