Great king crab legs

Even though they are famous for the prime rib, I would recommend their king crab legs more. It's juicy & fresh. Prime rib is good, but king crab legs are better IMHO.

Turtle consistently serves outstanding prime rib and large prawns. Their salad bar is excellent. Don't expect a lengthy menu or many choices. Visit just for their specialties and for a true Alaskan experience.

We always come here when we visit and it is always great! The crab is the best around and the salad bar is great.

I used to really like this place but then I realized they sell themselves as the best prime rib around. Since they assert that, I am basing my review on that. To that end, the prime rib is just okay. It may swing all the way up to good occasionally but for a restaurant to mainly serve prime rib it... More

Everyone said in Fairbanks that this is where you need to go to eat. Glad we did. The people were very, very friendly. Very crowded for a small restaurant, DO make reservations, they fill up fast after 6 pm. I had the prime rib, MR, was excellent. wife had the halibut, was OK, not great. DO GO there if you... More

Turtle Club is a wonderful place to eat. This is a "Meat and Potatoes" kind of restaurant (with fish of course, it is Alaska). I had the prime rib and baked potato and it was excellent. The restaurant also provides a great salad bar with each meal. Our service was also top notch. If you are in the Fairbanks area... More

Although most restaurants in the interior of Alaska rely on tourism, the Turtle Club has a strong following of locals that keep the doors open. Unlike the south, quality steak houses in this northern part of the start are hard to find, and this restaurant has little competition in this area. The best steak in this region? If so, it's... Husband and I had dinner here several nights ago. Enjoyed the kitchy decorations & lights. Staff was friendly, and service was good. Salad bar was adequate. Husband enjoyed the king crab legs. The prime rib was a HUGE disappointment. Meat lacked flavor and was dry. Definitely a disappointment considering it's their specialty. Also, the most expensive meal we had while... More

Fairbanks is not a food-lover's paradise. That said, there are some decent restaurants to fill your belly, meet your need for a business dinner, take the kids to, etc. The Turtle Club is located just minutes outside Fairbanks in a small town called Fox. When you go there, you basically get 4 choices: Prime Rib, Halibut, Lobster, or Prawns. Each... More
