This wonderful, small resataurant does a robust breakfast business and you will understand why when you see their creative menu which includes a wide variety of selections, including gluten free options! I recommend them highly!

A breakfast burrito, served in a former food truck, 1/2 mile from the end of the road, with the largest assortment of potato heads I have ever seen---and one of the best breakfast I had in Alaska. Not only is the coffee delicious, the other costumers are fun to visit with as you wait for your sandwich to be individually... More

The best coffee in town, and delicious breakfast and lunch. There are typically only one or two folks there working, and they only fill one oder at a time, so be prepared to wait, even if you just order a beverage.

...Not what you would expect at a "roadside" wagon. The food is creative, delicious, and made and served with love...and the tee shirts are awesome.

We were in McCarthy for a quick day trip. We were had some time waiting for the mine shuttle so we stopped at the Roadside Potatohead for a coffee/drink and a snack. It is an interesting place tucked away on a back street. The service and drinks were good. Small shack of a place with definitely an interesting decor. Probably... More

Stopped by the Roadside Potato's booth at the Bodega-fest 2013. I've always been a simple fry kinda person the curliest fries I've had were from a fast food chain. This crew put a twist on my favorite added some rosemary and WOW. Keep an eye out for this hardworking and pleasant team.

My family has eaten there numerous times over the past few years on our way to or from various hiking & camping adventures. All 6 of us LOVE it! Espresso is amazing, salmon burgers with dill sauce are the best I've had anywhere, and the rosemary garlic fries MADE OUR DAY. Three of us 'girls' split the fries, & it... More

The reviewers below have described the Potatohead well, but I have to add my thanks for a great lunch. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious! The kids (and we) enjoyed playing with the Mr Potatoheads while we waited for our order. In Australia, food in a remote location like this would have been ridiculously expensive. Here it was wonderfully reasonable... More
