Crab Tower and Scallops were great!

It took awhile to finally get waited on. I had the Crab Tower at another M&S restaurant and it was taller and wider, this one was smaller and they gave me only three large asparagus. The scallops were good on top of the spinach and potatoes.

We were seated right away on a Saturday evening (made reservations) and changed to a booth without a problem, greeted quickly and given time to place our order. Our drinks and appetizers came out with no issue and then it went downhill. The place became busy and after over 30 minutes we were told the kitchen was backed up (which... More

Seated promptly and greeted pleasantly by our server Ryan. Nicely appointed table and decor, but that is where the best ends. The food was ho hum and the kitchen management worse. We waited almost 45 minutes for our entrees, one of which included salmon after asking for that portion to be subbed with extra shrimp. The manager offered a free... More

Pricey food does not live up to standards. Salads ok. Lobster bite appetizer was one tail deep fried. Nice that as bites could be shared by couple. Not as crispy as it should have been & heavy on breaking. Again so-so. Hard not to like lobster. Redfish special suspect. Think it was not redfish, but what? Way too mushey. Was... More

The restaurant came highly recommended. We enjoyed the dinner but it left a bit to be desired. The ambiance and decor are very well done. Dark wood and subdued lighting. We were seated at a very nice booth overlooking the river. We were greeted right away by our waiter. She was nice and asked us if we wanted any appetizers... More

My husband and I decided to eat at McCormick & Schmick solely for the purpose of ordering crab legs. He ordered a steak, which was excellent and I eagerly ordered the $50 crab legs, which were anything but excellent. The crab legs were so overcooked they would not crack, with or without tools. Our waiter, who provided above average service,... More

Great seafood, but for desert you have to try the chocolate bag. It is amazing! Fun place to eat in DC area

If you have to go to McCormick and Schmidt go to this one...only because the staff is so pleasant. But if you want good food find a different restaurant. McCormick and Schmidt as a whole is very overrated. The food today was as always...bland. We only came because that where a family elder wanted to go. My steak was over... More

We love coming here for Happy Hour which has been 2:30PM to 7PM (Mon-Fri). Light draft is $3.50 and domestic draft $4.50. The 1/2 lb. cheeseburger with fries and 4 chicken quesadillas are $5 and very good. The Coast to Coast (Tuna tartar & 4 pcs of seared tuna $9) was good. The tartar was very good but the seared... I hosted an office happy hour there last week and must say I was impressed. The happy hour menu was adequate, the drinks were great (not watered down), and when I ordered a drink I didn't care for, the most attentive bar tender redid my drink - no questions asked. I also went there on a separate occasion (dinner) with... More
