A meal with friends... great company not such great food

Had an evening meal there - the restaurant was not full but we were positioned very close to the only other full table - who were very very noisy. Conversation was limited. The food was ok, service was ok, but altogether wouldn't recommend. Food was over-seasoned and although portions were... read more

Had an evening meal there - the restaurant was not full but we were positioned very close to the only other full table - who were very very noisy. Conversation was limited. Had Sunday brunch with a colleague on the waterside deck. Warmly greeted, all staff members quite accomodating (maybe the service feedback from others is working). The bartender was very helpful considering we were seated outdoors. I was quite pleased with the variety of the brunch selection. I do not eat red meat or pork. To my surprise they had chicken... I had Sunday brunch at McLoone's Pier House on March 15 with a group of 12 for a family birthday celebration. After reviewing their menu on line, I called to make reservations the night before. I specifically asked and confirmed that we could order from the menu as well as choose the Sunday Brunch Buffet which was somewhat pricey at... More

Went to McLoone's with friends twice in the same week because of the FOOD QUALITY. The Maryland crab cakes were as good as any I have eaten. My friends shrimp and snapper dishes were also tasty. The crab dip was tasty, but totally smooth, no crab pieces. The service: - The hostesses were stand-offish and not attentive to waiting customers.... More

I had arranged to meet a colleague here for some light food and to catch up on things. Met around 1:30pm, greeter was fine and place was rather empty. I ordered the Crab Cake appetizer and my friend ordered shrimp cocktail. I enjoyed the crab cake. I'm from Maryland and I've had the finest crab cakes. These were not in... More

If possible, keep looking when in National Harbor. The décor needs updating, the staff overwhelmed, and dishes were inconsistent. Overall our group of 10 had an enjoyable time looking out on the Potomac and sipping cocktails. At least the price is low enough to warrant the experience.

Let's go chronological. Upon checking in for our reservation, we were crammed upon against a large table that had been rearranged and placed too close to ours. Our table was not properly set -- only two sets of napkins and silverware for our party of three, and no drink lists (which were visible on other pre-set tables). My wife and... More

I ate at McLoone's Pier House while attending a conference at the Gaylord Hotel. I ate at the bar, and the bartender could have been friendlier. He seemed a little annoyed that I wanted to order food that was not on the Happy Hour menu. I ordered the Lobster Risotto, which was good. It had a decent amount of lobster... More

I was staying at the Gaylord for a convention and this place was a short walk away. We went for dinner on a slow night. Poor service and unremarkable food. There are better alternatives nearby.
