Great views, food's ok, but it took forever

Dropped in w/ guys from the office. We passed on two other places because of the lines. We sat down fairly quickly, but once our order was in we waited an interminable long time for our lunch. We were gone from work much too long.

Beautiful staff, prompt and courteous service. I had stuffed shrimp and it was absolutely hot and delicious.

What started as a lovely Saturday evening soon deteriorated! There was an hour wait for a table and I was a single eater therefore I was able to sit at the bar. I was waited on quickly with water and then I asked to be recommend a signature dish. Warm crab dip was recommended so I agreed with the waiter.... More

Great way to end the day, watching the sunset over the Potomac river and the National wheel all lite up. Good crab menu items, LOVED the Crab dip!!! Good kids menu too. Very nice décor both indoors and out. Great Setting.

Had an evening meal there - the restaurant was not full but we were positioned very close to the only other full table - who were very very noisy. Conversation was limited. The food was ok, service was ok, but altogether wouldn't recommend. Food was over-seasoned and although portions were very large the quality wasn't great (and, therefore, the meal... More

Had Sunday brunch with a colleague on the waterside deck. Warmly greeted, all staff members quite accomodating (maybe the service feedback from others is working). The bartender was very helpful considering we were seated outdoors. I was quite pleased with the variety of the brunch selection. I do not eat red meat or pork. To my surprise they had chicken... I had Sunday brunch at McLoone's Pier House on March 15 with a group of 12 for a family birthday celebration. After reviewing their menu on line, I called to make reservations the night before. I specifically asked and confirmed that we could order from the menu as well as choose the Sunday Brunch Buffet which was somewhat pricey at... More

Went to McLoone's with friends twice in the same week because of the FOOD QUALITY. The Maryland crab cakes were as good as any I have eaten. My friends shrimp and snapper dishes were also tasty. The crab dip was tasty, but totally smooth, no crab pieces. The service: - The hostesses were stand-offish and not attentive to waiting customers.... More

I had arranged to meet a colleague here for some light food and to catch up on things. Met around 1:30pm, greeter was fine and place was rather empty. I ordered the Crab Cake appetizer and my friend ordered shrimp cocktail. I enjoyed the crab cake. I'm from Maryland and I've had the finest crab cakes. These were not in... More

If possible, keep looking when in National Harbor. The décor needs updating, the staff overwhelmed, and dishes were inconsistent. Overall our group of 10 had an enjoyable time looking out on the Potomac and sipping cocktails. At least the price is low enough to warrant the experience.
