Cold Beer and a large assortment of it...

Good selection of table options or eat lunch at the bar. The sandwiches were good and large. Great atmosphere....

We ate two dinners during early April and the two experiences were vastly different. The first was four adults and two children. Our waitress and service were excellent and the food was good. Had we only this one experience we would have rated the restaurant as Very Good. Because of our positive experience and child-friendly setting, we returned as two... More

Cute place with nice decor, the bar crowd on the Saturday eveningwas a bit loud. The booth seating is hard wooden benches, rather uncomfortable. Wait staff was very good. Relatively prompt and attentive service. The food started off good and went downhill. The appetizer mussels were hidden in way too much stewed tomatoes, The mahi nachos lacked character -- could... Out with some friends we decided to eat at Fred and Ethel's since there were about 4 tables taken and they had a seafood menu. Since I am the quest to find the perfect spicy bloody mary I ordered one. So far the worst I have had. I asked for horseradish but instead got a glass filled with tabasco. My... More

Get the buffalo chicken salad! It was delicious and abundant. Very fresh and wholesome ingredients. Potato soup was so rich and filling. Great service. Fun place with craft beer.

Since we are occasional patrons of the bar on Friday evenings for a drink and a burger and have enjoyed the casual, friendly atmosphere and good service by the bartenders we decided to try Fred & Ethel's for an impromptu St Patrick's Day dinner. The dining room was busy but not at maximum capacity. The corned beef and cabbage dinner... More

We eat at Fred and Ethel's every time we go to Smithville. Casual dining, food is always good and the drinks are fantastic. Very friendly staff.

We are big fans of the Smithville Inn, but one night we decided to try Fred and Ethel's. It was a Saturday night and was crowded, but we got a table quickly. The atmosphere was pleasant, but it was very noisy, almost hard to carry on a conversation. The food was outstanding, but it took a long time to be... More

My boyfriend and I always have dinner here whenever we are in Smithville! The place is great; the dining room is large enough that the tavern atmosphere doesn't get overwhelming! We have never had food that we didn't like, and my man is a craft beer drinker and he really enjoys their selection. We always order the Guinness nachos (but... More
