Food and drinks for those craving Mexican flavors. Big portions. Sit at the bar and enjoy Monday Night Football with your Super Burrito or Chicken Fajita Salad. Bartender Corinne excels.

This is a go-to place for my family and I. Sit at bar, dinner, larger events can be handled. Staff is great, selections on menu are plenty, weekly specials are always worth trying, beer selection is awesome and live music great! Not much you can ask for. Always happy to come and review this place. Keep up the good work!

Have been here many times over the years with never being disappointed. Was there New Year's Day for dinner. Was told about 20 minute wait but was seated in 10. Crab cakes were excellent, perfectly seasoned, moist and tasty. Two in our party had steak w high as tender, tasty and prepared as ordered. This is a must stop when... More

This historic village has been converted to quaint shops and this tavern is central in it. There was quite a line, but we were seated within 15 minutes and served very quickly. Fabulous onion soup and crab bisque. Paired with chicken caesar and chicken salad wraps. We also enjoyed the Governor--which is an interesting meatloaf cassarole with beef, bacon, onion... More

Visited here for the first time last week. The food was amazing and awesome but the service lacked a lot. We ordered wings which were the best we have ever had and dinner which was delish. The service seemed a little off though, slow and unsure. Thinking maybe they had some new people to help with warm weather run. (although... More

We enjoyed their Mexican Monday Menu. Very tasty food and reasonably priced too. Charming atmosphere. It was very busy so the service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry. I would go here again.

We went to Smithville village to do some after Christmas shopping and stopped at Fred & Ethel's Lantern Light for lunch. The atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The bar and restaurant are decorated in a "colonial style" with lots of wood. We shared an order of chili nachos and then had the French Onion Soup. Everything was delicious and the... More

I took my wife and my mother out to Fred and Ethel's for dinner on a Wednesday night. We did not have to wait for a table, and the hostess sat us at a window table. Upon entering, we noticed a very active bar scene which was noisy but seemed like the guests were having fun. Fortunately, the bar noise... More

If you are looking for a good burger, this is the place for you. Good environment, good service, good variety of menu items, good loyalty program and good specials. We eat here frequently--it is that good. The restaurant is located in the middle of Smithville Village with its fun shopping boutiques. I was disappointed when they dropped their Cuban sandwich...
