If you are hungey and are looking for fish, then Merisali serves a great fresh food buffet. It has plenty variety and the cold dishes are excellent (warm food little bit too industrial). Merisali also serves pizzas, but those are medicore.

The restaurant is a legend but it doesn't mean that the food selection shouldn't develop over the time... We go there for a breakfast for a couple of times every summer (maybe 10+ years) and the selection is always the same. Must say though that salted fish is always very good.

Pottering about in Naantali, admiring the pretty wooden houses and enjoying the views may give you an appetite, in which case Merisali makes a good stop. It's a beautiful wooden building with a waterside terrace and an interesting indoor restaurant. Their buffet lunch costs €14.50, is available from 11am to 4pm ( at least it was on a Saturday in... Thsi wooden building with huge terrace is probably the best place just to sit down enjoy the view, watch the boats going around, hear the water splashing all wooden bridges. On weekends they have graet live music and very decent buffe on good value. Afteroons they also serve nice pizzas. Place is simple but cosy - outdoor sitting is the... More

I agree with a previous contributor that the advertised photo is incorrect and should be changed as it does not advertise the natural appeal of the sea view to the President's Residence.... My visit was specifically for the buffet lunch. I have enjoyed this on previous occasions and it has always provided a large selection of fresh sea food, salads,... More

Location couldn't be any better in beautiful Old Town. Endless river of people passing by, because entrance to Moomin World Theme Park is just steps away. They have terrace outside, which gets crowded and noisy, especially at the evenings, when they have live band, which usually isn't that good(some Bulgarians trying to sing everything from Finnish standards to Robbie Williams).... Buffet inspired by archipelago tradition. Not very authentic nor especially modern. Buffet selection seems to have been unchanged for years. Good location at the pier.

Nice old building and very nice view from terrace. Buffet menu is also good but dessert or coffee isn't included. Might be quite crowded in nice summer days. I would give 3.5 points if possible.

This is not Merisali. This restaurant in your picture is Kalatrappi. I live in Naantali and visit almost daily in Merisali with my dog. Merisali is near ocean and you can see presidents summervilla from there. Merisali has good food too but there are also live bands, drinks, extraordinary atmosfere and many local people. I attach a photo of Merisali... More

This restaurant is known for its buffet that at lunch time costs just under 14 euros, for big-eaters that is definitely worth the money. Buffet had a good variety of cold and warm dishes, basic Finnish food but nothing spectacular. Dessert or coffee was not included. The place seemed to be targeting big tourist groups and that made it rather... More
