Brilliant staff - very friendly and helpful. Good food at a reasonable price. Local dishes were well represented including bean stew - yummy!

A very busy, atmospheric restaurant with delicious food - however it is not cheap (approx E30/40 per person). Would definitely recommend if you are close to Potes - it is in the centre, close to the river.

A busy dining room, great atmosphere. We elected to eat in the bar. No menu del dia. I chose an anchovy and mozzarella salad which was just that and not so much of it. If my memory serves me correctly it was E 13. The husband had the local stew which he loved.

Maybe as it was 9.30pm on a Saturday and they were trying to churn guests before the locals came to dine, late as they do, but I have never been served so quickly anywhere in my life! This wasn't a bad thing when you want to eat and doesn't reflect poor food. The meal itself, beef stew and veal were... More

We arrived far to early for the evening meal so sat down in the bar having a drink plus the nibbles which came without asking. after more drinks and nibbles a waiter took us through to the dining room. I wanted to pay our bar bill but was waved aside. The menu was very varied and when I said I... More

We know the the lunch culture in Spain in not a one of rushing one, however, the waitress we had today was the extreme of slowness, very inefficient, and forgetful. The food was good but nothing especial and we received the check with a couple of extra items we had not consumed.

Just finished a lovely meal in this restaurant. Do believe the reviews about big portions. Good atmosphere a decent quality food. Staff were very busy but extremely professional, helpful and friendly. A lovely location and lots of local dishes.

Looks like tourist trap but this place is excellent. Service was so good , polite, spoiling. Atmosphere was fun. Wine ( rajoha bordon) was perfect, cayo salad, anchovies with peppers, tuna fish in tomato sauce, cod in zafran, and squids .. Were all yummy. At the end the waiter spoiled us with good grappa. What a great eve.

Just returned from dinner at Casa Cayo. After reading mixed reviews we were relieved to have really good service from a pleasant waiter. The starters were big so he only brought and charged for half portion. The steaks were amazing we had 1 sirloin ( like fillet) and 1 entrecôte about 16oz. The rose we chose was very good and... More

We orderd the large plate of the famous, local stew, 'cocido Lebaniego' (different meats and sausage, chick peas and cabbage) which was served on a hot plate but the food on it was barely warm. The place lacked a personal touch we didn't feel 'valued' for being there and sadly we also felt taken advantage of as ignorant tourists when... More
