Very good local food in Potes

Went here for lunch and had a great time. We tried the fried calamari, the hearty "cocido lebaniego" stew and a salt baked rodaballo (turbot). All the food was excellent and well prepared. Great selection of Spanish wines from different regions. For dessert we had Egg souffle over Natilla cream... read more

Had hoped to stay here but no vacancies shown on TA or their own website so eventually stayed elsewhere. We did come here for a simple lunch though, after a long morning's walk, & it was excellent. A delicious & huge plate of setas a la plancha for me, an equally huge & tasty plate of calamares for Jenny, lots... More

The staff are quite friendly. Offered olives while we are waiting for our table. However the food is not to our taste, most of the dishes we ordered are salty. Prices is on the steep side. Have to drink plenty of water afterthe meal.

Set in a wonderful 'ancient' town, this restaurant was a wonderful find. We had lunch with very creative salads, wonderful anchovies and a good wine. The service was excellent.

This is a popular place and by other reviews perhaps we just came across it on a bad day. The waitress was quite off-hand to the point of rudeness and the food was no better than fine. The local bean stew, loved by another reviewer, was nothing special that night, and we had the same stew in a different hotel... More

A very busy, atmospheric restaurant with delicious food - however it is not cheap (approx E30/40 per person). Would definitely recommend if you are close to Potes - it is in the centre, close to the river.

A busy dining room, great atmosphere. We elected to eat in the bar. No menu del dia. I chose an anchovy and mozzarella salad which was just that and not so much of it. If my memory serves me correctly it was E 13. The husband had the local stew which he loved.
