Firstly id like to start off by saying how friendly the staff are, especially the man who seems to own it! It is so important to appreciate the customers and to provide service to them in an attentive manner in, which they definately do. The atmosphere is lovely and the vibe is so comfortable and has a nice feel to... More

Beautiful meal last night (13.9.14), however the evening was tainted by loud mouth over the top locals laughing hysterically at the bar for most of the evening. Obviously they were regulars. However considering the pub is predominately a food establishment people drinking at the bar should show more respect and consideration to those dining. Fair Enough Everyone is entitled to... More

I'm sure that many people will not relate to my review as they will have had very positive experiences of dining at Brownlows, as I have until tonight! As I have major menu envy I ordered the mixed grill and my hubbie ordered the fillet steak. Everything arrived looking fab until I cut into my pork steak which was near... More

Taken out to lunch. Very good value having the smaller courses. The gammon was excellent, no fat. The Brownlow chocolate sundae was a real treat, followed by a splendid coffee. Others in the group had salmon or the Brownlow deluxe burger. Chips were great and tasty.

Visited The Brownlow on a Wednesday evening at 6:30. Good job we had booked! My husband and I and our 9 year daughter decided we needed a treat.... And we certainly got one!! Staff were very pleasant and helpful and not pushy at all or trying to rush us. Me and our daughter decided to have a starter of duck... More

Liver and onions was a good choice for the two of us at under a tenner each. There is a good choice on the lunchtime menu as well as the balanced main menu and specials board. The steaks looked fantastic and I know from family they taste fantastic! Service was five star and the owner/landlord attentive but not obtrusive. We... More

Once again what more can we say about the Brownlow food delicious, staff make you feel part of the family. I booked a meal for our best friends birthday treat and it was superb in every way. As for the comment on the chip butty's some people like simple things in life ( chips in a bag) but if you... More

We visited the Brownlow recently - and were very glad we had booked as the place was very busy for 6.30 on a Thursday night. The menu was OK - however, nothing seemed to have changed since we were there before Xmas - and it wasnt until we were leaving that we saw other people being offered a specials board.... More

We visited 'The Brownlow' last night with our friends who first introduced us to this delightful place! We haven't bothered to write a review previously because I couldn't comment on 'perfection'! However, I have just read a review regarding the absence of 'chip butties' and felt I must record my comments. Firstly - Chip Butties??? Obviously should have visited a... More
