This place is another establishment in this area that is good for food. Just in the countryside in the Triangle of Smallwood. Congleton to the north, Sandbach to the west and Alsager to the south. Lovely Drive out for lunch. Shame there is no outside area to dine though, only the car park!!!!! Still very nice food....

Been here on a lot of occasions and never disappointed so we Booked for my Birthday, booked in for 6 people, we arrived and were welcomed by very friendly staff, had a drink at the bar whilst waiting for our table, we ordered different starters from garlic bread sea food dishes and pate, I had the salmon which was excellent... Arrived, relaxed in the lovely bar area on arrival. Then we were shown through to our table, well cared for by the hostesses all throughout our stay. Food was sublime, massive steak which was definitely bigger than the 8oz it said on the menu, cooked perfectly. Everyone in our group absolutely loved their meals!

We visited here yesterday for a birthday meal. The food is simply fantastic, and the staff are the best i have seen. 100% recommended.

We were at a family meal at the brownlow. The starters & maincourse was cold. The steak was as tough as old boots. When we complained were were abused verbally by the staff. I would not go back again. We have now moved our Xmas party to the BlueBell in Smallwood . The food is far superior and the staff... More

Called in for a drink on Saturday. No larger- really. They didn't seem bothered. We walked out. Very dissapointing.

I think you are being rather economical with the truth. Allow me to elaborate, At 10.45pm on Saturday night (the time of your arrival) the following beverages were available for purchase. Birra Moretti (lager), Grolsch (lager), Peroni (lager), Black Sheep (bitter), Timothy Taylor (bitter), Front Row Touch (local Congleton brewery), Weetwood Bitter (local Cheshire brewery), Guinness, Magners (cider) and Savanna... We enjoyed a lovely meal at the Brownlow. Despite living only 10 minutes down the road this was our first visit. It always looked busy so we gave it a try. The service was excellent, lovely greeting on arrival and very well informed, friendly waitress went through the list of daily specials. The menu has a good range of choices... More

I went to this place following a recommendation, i found it to be a gloomy place, quite dark and not entirely welcoming. Steak ( I had a T Bone) was ok but I was expecting much more. Service OK but indifferent. Would I go back? No.
