Visited here today for lunch as ever very busy and it's no wonder as the food and drink are superb. Friendly waitresses who are always happy to help. Only downside is the parking can be a bit awkward.. Great place to eat

My wife and I have been for several lunch time meals and the food has always been good and the service excellent. All the staff are very friendly and eager to please. The menu is extensive for a pub and the prices competitive. The lighter choice menu is ideal for lunch time particularly if you do not have a big... More

Always a pleasure to visit the Brownlow inn. From the warm welcome you receive to the atmosphere. We were seated behind the fireplace which was lovely and warm. My partner ordered a mixed grill which was huge! I ordered the chicken skewers with peri peri sauce. Both were amazing and the homemade chips made it! Definitely worth leaving room for... More

We were recommended to visit the Brownlow by a friend. On a positive note the portions were generous. However, the nachos appeared to be served with mint sauce and the Brie wedges had very little Brie inside. The main meals were overpriced with the steak chewy and the chips and onion rings frozen. I was embarrassed to say anything whilst... More

This pub has been known to me for over twenty seven years and has traditionally been a bit of a backwater place that OAP's used to lunch in but otherwise served average food in the evenings and plodded along. It's current owners revitalised it and started to specialise in Steaks and over the past few years it is now so... More

We visited here on a wednesday lunch time a few weeks ago, was greeted very professionally by the young host (if i remember correctly his name was ian?), we were shown to our table in a nice area, drinks arrived swiftly and shortly after we ordered our food. we were undecided on what to have as me and my wife... On the positive side, the menu is excellent, the girl who took our order was lovely and our food was good. However this was all spoilt by the attitude of who we believe to be the owner. When she came over to inquire if everything was ok my husband said pleasantly, well actually no he had ordered Steak & Kidney... More
