Went for lunch with my husband and daughter placed order at five past one after half an hour we still hadn't had our starters which was only 3 mushroom starters eventually at 2pm we were given our starters to be told they had shouted off our table so we didn't have any delay on our mains coming I have to... Let me start by saying the refurbishment looks great! I was really looking forward to going back to the Just and had high hopes that the lick of paint and new management would finally see The Justinlees back to its best with a decent place to eat in Eskbank. But past mistakes have not been learnt! The customer service was... More

We went for lunch to see how the refurbishment had gone. Oh dear, the place was quite quiet but we were told that the food would be a 20 minute wait, and they didn't have any pasta. We left and went elsewhere Indifferent staff, and no improvement since we last went a few months ago. It's a real shame as... More

The Justinlees looks great a really welcoming atmosphere, we'd asked what time they closed and did they have a table for 2 to be told 10pm and yea of course come on in (under false pretences). Parused the menu and made our choice hubby went to the bar to order, came back AGES after with our drinks and with the... More

Went for sunday lunch. we had the roast beef it was lovely and loads off it, the only think i could say that was a bit disapointing was that the beef was not going to be ready for anotherr 30min but they told us when we ordered it so if we'd wanted to choose something else we could we will... Family of 4, we ate early Saturday evening. Food. We are agreed the food was very good. Not fine dining but good quality. Adults ate from the 3 course menu (£10.50) and when you compare the quality versus cost it was really good value. I had gammon and eggs and my wife the rump steak. Tasty, hot. Kids menu portions... First visit for us here, after passing the waitress having a "quick fag" at the side of the building we went in, lovely decor and plenty of choices of seating, very reasonably priced and choice for vegaterians. Didn't wait to long, all dishes were piping hot and plentiful, staff friendly and attentive. Would like to come back again but seeing... More

Decided to try the Justinlees after seeing it had been refurbished but shan't be back after such a disastrous visit. Lunchtime on a Friday and the place wasn't very busy at all so to wait over 45 minutes for one starter was ridiculous! (Only one of the group was having a starter) Complained to the waiting staff who apologised and... More

We went for a belated fathers day meal on Wednesday and I had the classic burger with BBQ pulled pork and my goodness, nearly ate my fingers with it. Absolutely delicious. The menu has changed after the renovations and there is a huge selection to be had. I would recommend this restaurant if you are after some first class pub... More
