I haven't been to Itihaas for a few years but I was really pleased to find on my return, the same high level of service and excellent standard of food that I did when I first visited. And excellent value too. I look forward to returning again and again.

I know itihaas has a connection with the radhuni but it just isn't as good . Food was nice enough (although my chicken kebab starter was rather chewy ) and service was fine . It was just an average indian meal . I've been here before and it was outstanding . I think I'll stick with the radhuni .

Just back from yet another lovely tapas night at Itihaas. Food fabulous, best Nan Bread we have ever tasted. The staff at Itihaas are lovely, very well mannered. They really look after you. This has to be the little gem of Dalkeith. We are so lucky to have such a lovely restaurant on our doorstep. Top quality Indian cuisine. Taylor... More

As always I'd thoroughly recommend this restaurant to everyone. On this occasion we visited for business, taking a client for lunch. The staff at Itihaas are exceptional - professional, polite and just spot on, from holding the main entrance door open to let us in to doing the same on the way out, and everything in-between was perfect. The atmosphere... More

Got a takeaway last night absolutely disgusting in the bin never again!!! Two starters one main £22.70 would have been better with a fresh produced tasty curry from the cockatoo

Ronnie one of the waiters took time to show us a magic trick and made a rose from a napkin for my daughter. This really made our evening very enjoyable. We.ll definately... More

Itihaas is a spotlessly clean restaurant with very smart and friendly waiting staff. The staff are always helpful and very attentive, even when very busy. The lunch menu offers a good number of choices and the portion size is generous. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The prices are very reasonable. The Sunday buffet is also excellent... More

This restaurant has a lovely ambience and is always super clean and tidy. The staff are very welcoming and always happy to make a recommendation. The food is simply delicious and all fresh made. This is far and beyond our favourite Indian restaurant and actually our favourite of all restaurants. We are going back there on Friday for my husband's... More
