Excellent Indian in Scotland

Visiting Dalkeith and Edinburgh on a regular basis, I always do my upmost to have at least one lunch or dinner at ITIHAAS during my stay in Scotland. I even sometimes make a special trip from town to get there, as meals are so enjoyable and tasty. Great welcome by the staff, especially from... read more

Delicious food served by friendly staff who look after your every need. Come here time after time. Buffet night on a Sunday is a fab offer too.

We visited this restaurant for an evening meal after hearing that some of our friends had had a decent meal and after reading so many good reviews about the place. Maybe our experience caught them on an 'off-night', but it has put us off coming back. The weather was awful, which had possibly detered others from venturing out, but the... More

On Saturday, myself, my partner and her family went for lunch at Itihaas for my father-in-law's birthday. We ordered off the lunch menu- a starter and main course for roughly £8. The food was fantastic (as usual). I had chicken pakora to start, then chicken jalfrezi as a main. Between the five of us, the bill totalled at around £80... More

Very disappointed with our takeaway from Ithiass, we always use another establishment but having being recommended Ithiaas by friends we decided to try it, The korma sauce was very disappointing tasted bland without a hint of coconut, Dont think I would be back sorry!

Went to Itihaas for the first time on an early Saturday evening. Great restaurant, clean & welcoming. Excellent service. Had a methi chicken, saag chicken, rice, poppadoms, naans. All very good. Just the right portion size. Food together with 2 beers & 2 lemonades was £45. Only downside was lemonade being the same price as a pint of Cobra! All... More

Twenty of us had booked for the Sunday banquet menu and as usual the food and service were first class. Mohammed and the team kept us well fed and watered with the usual charm and attentiveness we have come to expect at Itihaas. Another excellent visit.

Despite my mistake I asking for takeout rather than delivery, they made no complaint and delivered our meal very fast! The food was beautiful and it brought the idea of an Indian family dinner with it! Beautiful flavours and fantastic service from the staff! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting take out!

Can not recommend this restaurant enough. Have had takeaways as well as dining in and have never been disappointed. Consistently good food served up by friendly staff. Garlic chilli chicken and beef jalfriezie recommend. Well worth a visit.
